On November 2nd former Los Angeles Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs III killed a woman and her dog in a car accident. Henry Ruggs was going 127 miles per hour just before ramming into Tina Tintor’s car. Tina was a 23 year old woman from Las Vegas.
You might be wondering why Henry was going 127 miles per hour. Henry had actually been going 156 before slowing to 127. Henry had drunk that night and his blood alcohol level was 0.161 which is twice the legal level in Nevada. Henry didn’t just kill a woman and her dog, he also injured his girlfriend who was in the passenger seat of his car. Henry was driving a Corvette and slammed into Tina’s S.U.V. The collision ended in a fiery mess. Henry had hit Tina’s fuel tank which led to a fire. The crash also left Henry with some damage. At his court hearing, Henry was in a neck brace and in a wheelchair. Henry is facing five felonies and a misdemeanor. Ruggs could be facing up to 46 years in prison.
I think that this shouldn’t have happened. Henry Ruggs should have made smarter decisions that night. He should get life in prison. We should look at this as a learning lesson. Another one of these cases doesn't have to happen again. I think people should make smarter choices and think before doing.
What do you think about this case?
How many years in prison do you think Henry should get?

Good job overall Kai. I do think your summary could be a tad longer.
I think that this is careless driving and if he decided to drive that way then he should pay the price for anything bad that comes out of his choices. Since he hit and killed someone I think that, that was murder and I think that he should get whatever they throw at him.
I think Hendry Ruggs made a dumb decision by what he did and now he has to live with it. I think he could have made a better decision by not drinking and driving and not going 150. I think he should serve at least 15 years for what he did because he killed someone.
I think that considering the fact that he killed someone and their dog he should get the max sentence. I think that this accident was very avoidable because if he decided to not get in the car there would be no crash.
I think that he definetly could have made some better disicions when he was driving that could have resulted in a better outcome. However I think that he should have some sort of a sentance for doing what he did. I think that if he served around 10 years that that would be enoughf.
I think it is very bad that he was driving at that speed and it could potentially ruin his whole career which is very sad because he made it to the pro level after losing his best friend to a car crash then proceeded to drive recklessly and cause a death. But, I don't think he will recieve a max sentence because the fire could have been put out possibly.
He should have never driven at that speed. He definitely ruined his career with this one. If he spends 30+ years in prison, there is no way he is returning to the league. He is going to have a hard time finding his way back into society.
I think Henry Ruggs should spend whatever the proper amount the jury finds in prison because of his horrible crimes. I believe this was a horrible event that Ruggs created and that no one should ever drive under the influence of school for the safety of yourself and others,
I think what Henry Ruggs did was horrible and it should have never happened. I think it is very easy to avoid something like that. I think that Henry Ruggs should be sentenced to at least 46 years in prison for what he did. Doing something like that deserves a long punishment.
What Henry Ruggs did was terrible and it shouldn't have happened to begin with. This was easily avoidable like you said. I think he should serve around 40 years in prison. He definitely earned it when he does something stupid and reckless like that.
