Recent studies have shown that people who skip breakfast are prone to different types of heart disease as they get older. Many become more at risk for either a heart attack or a stoke, and all because they didn't eat breakfast in the mornings. In the study, scientists took note of each person's diet, lifestyle, health, age, etc, and kept a close eye on them over the course of 20 years or so. According to a few sources, the study has left out important data including the kinds of foods and drinks eaten by the people for breakfast, but it's still pretty accurate. Some say that the people who skip breakfast the most are people who don't have healthy lifestyles. For example, many who don't have a good income can't have a routine meal schedule because they don't know when they are able to put food on the table. This then can lead to cardiovascular problems later on in life because of strain on the body and lack of good food. Overall, the lesson here is eat your breakfast as often as possible if you don't you will be at risk for a heart-related disease later on in life.

If you didn't eat breakfast in the mornings on a regular basis, would this study change your mind? Why or why not?
I think if I didn't eat breakfast in the mornings, the findings of this study would scare me a little bit just because of the risk of heart problems in the future. I would definitely try to fit breakfast into my schedule after reading an article like this.
What do you think should be done for the people who don't have enough income to buy good meals?
I think they should get money from the government as a start. And there should also be food kitchens set up, and not just for dinner and lunch, they should serve breakfast too.

Great job overall Olivia. Just be sure to comment on three different days.
I don't eat breakfast in the mornings usually, but I might start trying to now after reading this. I believe that more charties should start to help them out with being able to get food for their children.
Having different charity organizations is a good idea, there are many that are already helping out and many more that I'm sure would be willing to help get people a good, solid meal in the mornings. If I could, I would try to help, but I feel like I'm a little too young to do anything major like that.
Yes it would because I dont eat breakfast every morning and having heart problems at an early age is not so this would make start eating breakfast more often
I think they should put maby up more soup kitchens or put up fundraisers to raise money for those less fortunite than most
I don't necessarily think that this study is suggesting that not eating breakfast is going to lead to heart problems at an early age. I think it was more suggesting that if you don't start eating it now while you're young, there could be consequences in the future.
If I didn't eat breakfast every morning, I would be a little scared knowing that doing something so little can really impact your health. I skip breakfast sometimes and after reading this, I think that I will try to do more foods on the go. People who don't have a good income should try to have leftovers from another meal or there are some cheap breakfast food that is better than nothing.
I agree with you, it's scary knowing that something so small could change your health completely. It's like saying, "one breakfast a day keeps the health problems away". It's so weird finding this out from some studies, but I would say the article is pretty helpful.
Yes, I think it would. Eating breakfast in the morning seems like a very simple thing to do to prevent a serious health issue. Plus, breakfast helps you get mroe energy and just feel better throughout the day, so why not! I think there should be places to help provide a cheap, nutritious breakfast for these people, but also help them get a job to be able to provide for themselves.
You're right, I think that eating breakfast in the morning is a great way to start the day off. I feel like most people who have breakfast are happier, have more energy, and just feel better throughout the day. Also, I'm almost positive there are cheap places to buy breakfast food in the morning.
Every morning I actually do not eat breakfast, but after reading about these studies My mind has been changed a little bit because who wants to have a higher chance of heart attack or stroke. So in the future I plan to begin eating breakfast every morning.
