A 39 year old woman from England has begun hearing for the first time in her life. The woman was born deaf. After having surgery for cochlear implants, she was able to hear. According to the video, "The process has been the most emotional and overwhelming experience of her life." This woman has always wondered what music was like. Now she is able to find out. I think that it is amazing that it is possible to make deaf people able to hear! What would you think if you were able to hear for the first time? What would you miss the most if you could not hear?

Great job!
It would be so weird living your life is silence. I'm glad that they are finding a way to cure the deaf.
I would be very happy that scientists found technology better than a hearing aid so I could hear. I would miss going to school and hanging out with my friends.
I think she probably went to school and hung out with her friends even though she couldn't hear. She can just enjoy it more now that she can hear.
I would be overly happy, because not hearing for 39 years would make me mad. But with her being able to hear, she will also learn how to speak.
I would probably be really happy to hear after a while because it would be pretty frustrating not being able to hear.
That's amazing, that they did that. I would be so happy to hear if this ever happened to me.
I would be so over joyed I don't know what I would think. I would probably be more grateful for it since I would of lived half my life with out being able to hear and then finally being able to would be so exciting.
I would probably be a bit overwhelmed instead of joyed at first. But after I got used to the idea of heariing, I would be happier.
I would be in shock if I could hear for the first time. I would miss hearing music and people's voices. But this story is just amazing.
