Hawkeyes Smelling Roses

The Iowa Hawkeyes will represent the Big 10 against the Pac 12 Champion Stanford Cardinals in the Rose Bowl Game. It was a sad loss for the Hawkeyes Saturday as they lost to Michigan State 16-13 in the Big 10 Championship game. Ending Iowa's 12 game win streak and undefeated season. But playing in the Rose Bowl is the next best thing to the Playoff.

Questions:

What do make of the Hawkeyes great season?

Who do you think will win the Rose Bowl?

My Opinion: I think Iowa's season was one to remember. It was an exciting one that was fun to watch. It stinks they won't be in the College Football Playoff but at least they get to play in the Rose Bowl, which they haven't played in it in over 20 years. And I think they will beat Stanford. I think they'll win 24-20.

  • I think that the Hawkeye's great season was probably due to them working hard and trying. I do not know who will win the Rose Bowl but I probably wont watch it.

  • I'm a Hawkeye's fan so I think its great. I'm not sure who will win the Rose Bowl but I think the Hawks have a good chance.

  • They set many records this year including most wins in a season and they got there first Thorpe Award winner or Best Corner back Awarded to Desmond King. It will be close but I think the Hawkeyes find a way to win it.

  • I am a huge Hawkeye fan and I'm so proud of them for the season that they have had. I agree with you that this is a season that everyone will remember. I personally think that they will beat Stanford.

    • I like your prediction and hopefully the Hawks will come out on top!

  • I think that their season was great, I don't know who will win the rose bowl

  • All I have to say is that Iowa finally played a good team and lost. Stanford will win the Rose Bowl by a landslide.

  • I like the huskers so that means i really don't like the hawkeyes but they had a good season. I think they had an easier schedule than most of the teams.. I guess a win is a win. I think the score win come down to how good Iowa's defense plays.

  • I think their "great season" was set up to look that way. They played a few good teams, however I don't find those reason enough to believe they're really competitive with some of the best teams in the country. They did hang on with Michigan State better than I expected, but in the end, they lost. I'd say the only credible team they beat was Northwestern, although some of the other teams weren't terrible. I do not think they will beat Stanford because had they not lost to Northwestern in the first week and had scored three more points against Oregon, they would have been undefeated and would be in the College Football Playoff. Stanford is a tough team and will have momentum on their side having just won the Pac 12.
