Swedish McDonald's have introduced a new happy meal toy. Now, after you empty your Happy Meal box, you can fold it into "virtual reality headsets." Simply unfold, refold, and insert your smartphone. The new boxes were designed along with a new video game featuring a slalom ski course called "Watch Out on the Slopes." “We’re trying to be a modern and progressive burger company,” said Jeff Jackett, marketing director of McDonald’s in Sweden. “It’s not a joke.” There are no current plans to bring the Happy Goggles to the US, but McDonald's headquarters is interested in the concept.

Questions:
If you were a parent, how would you feel about this new Happy Meal toy?
Do you think this will come to the US?
My Opinion:
I would not be too enthused about McDonald's advertising this as a toy. This is promoting electronic games verses hands on playing and imagination. I also feel as though it is just a way to promote and make money off of the app that is advertised along with it. I think this toy will come to the US only if it promotes sales in Sweden.

Well done Aydin!
I think this idea is very cool, but I don't think it will do much to help the company out in attracting customers. I don't think it will come to the U.S. because if it doesn't end up well across the Pacific than it won't show up here.
I think that it sounds cool but in reality I think that it is just a way to get more customers. I really hope that it does not come to the U.S. because we are already the most overweight country in the world and if this comes to the United States then their will be kids that want to keep on going to McDonald's and get this new toy that they are giving in happy meals.
I think that it would just be a way to reel in more customers and draw attention to McDonald's. It will probably find a way to get into the US and spread like a wildfire
It's a clever idea, but it won't help the electronic-addicted generation. This only promotes usage of electronics, and might even help with their sales. I think there is a possibility it would come to the US.
I don't really think it matters because kids watch tv all the time so what difference would this be. Maybe this would be motivational for kids that don't eat all of their food. think it is a fun idea. I this kind of idea could potentially come to the U.S.
I don't think they should have done this because it like the kid will want to go there more and just want that and It will make it hard for them to eat. Because they will wants to play or do the game just like with the other toys they had. I just think they need to keep the old toys and not go to social media. I don't think it will but knowing us it will want to bring it over here.
In my opinion it is a fun idea but with this McDonald's is promoting electronic games and in my opinion the kids will later on just sit in front of their computers and play games. And in a young age like that the kids might don't even use a phone so they always need to use their parents which they maybe don't get.
I think maybe after a time it will come to the US
I think that this is a fun and good idea, but could be a little difficult, too. A lot of kids who eat Happy Meals probably don't have smartphones yet so this would mean that they would have to use their parents' phones.
if I was a parent with kids I would probably be happy that it distracted the kid for at least a day.
It may come to the u.s if it gets alot of likes
