Today marks the 14th birthday of Google, now a day you can do all kinds of things using Google from research to settling bets and from looking at our front door on Google to looking at reefs in the ocean. Google has also created the recently posted Google driverless car. The company’s mission statement is “To End All Mission Statements.” Originally Google was started up in 1996 as a search engine called “BackRub.” Going by that statement Google or “Backrub” would be 16, but the company page says that the company was founded in 1998. I think Google is the one of the best thing that has happened in a long time. What are your views on this topic and how has Google helped you?

i dont like google. i have not benefitted from it at all. it just makes the public more lazy.
I think that google is a great way to search and i think that is 10000000 times better than Bing or yahoo.
I've used Google for lots of things, like researching topics, but I don't like the car. It sounds like it would make people less careful.
Without Google I doubt I would know much... I'd say that the majority of things that I've learned have come from using Google. Google Chrome is also the best web browser I've seen
I am a big fan of Google. Their search engine is by far the most user friendly, and despite the frustrations this year I love apps like drive, gmail etc. Youtube is also fantastic. They scare me a bit though. they have very forward thinking ideas about privacy, and by forward thinking I mean 1984 stuff
That is kind of crazy how has been up and going for over 14 years it seems like A LOT longer then that. It is really cool for what all google has done in the 14 years like you said they brought out the drive less car and who knows what else they will do in the years to come.
I love using Google for doing a project or something. I use it to find information and pictures, it's great! It's crazy to think that I'm older than it though. It seems like Google has been around forever. I hope that it is around for much longer to help future generations.

Only 14 years? It's amazing how quickly Google has become such a big part of our lives. I'm sure it's from all these great inventions, and they keep coming out with more all the time.
Google has helped me in many ways. Finding pictures, getting information, and a lot of other things. I don't like the idea of the car, though. A car will never be able to drive itself. We will always have to pay attention to the road and drive ourself where we want to go.
