Last Sunday, Hamburg, Germany took a vote from city residents as to rather or not host the 2024 Olympics. It was close, but 51.7% of residents said no to hosting the Olympics for obvious reasons. Some believe that it would cost too much money to get ready for the event, such as building hotels, fixing roads, transportation systems, and to establish more businesses to handle the massive responsibility of the Olympics. Other residents say that it's too dangerous to have it held there in Hamburg, Germany because of all the local terrorists attacks that's been going on lately. If the Olympics were being held there while there was a terrorists attack, the city would have a lot of responsibility as to taking care of people who would be hurt in the event. Now that Hamburg is out, the final four cities for hosting the 2024 Olympics are: Rome; Paris; Budapest, Hungary; and Los Angeles.

My Thoughts:
I don't know if having the Olympics in my country would be a wise investment because you may put more money into trying to fix your city than the amount of money that you would make from all the business you have. It would be a neat experience to have this event in a local city, but I feel like you would bid more for what it's actually worth. I think that I can agree with the residents of Hamburg, Germany when they say that they don't want to host the Olympics there.

No matter where you host the Olympics, the same problems will be faced (cost, time, responsibility, etc), not to mention the danger of terrorists. I personally have no interest in the Olympics, so it doesn't really mean much to me.
No mostly because of terrorists and costs. The U.S. might get more money hosting the Olympics then what we put into this huge event.
I think it would be fun to have the Olympics held, but it would take a lot of teamwork. It would be a big project to work through, but I think the result would be a good feeling. It does worry me with the terrorists attack. If those people came into our country, it would be very hard to stop them all.
I would it would be interesting but I dont want the terrist coming in that would be bad.
Im not sure if it would be wise right now with what is going on but possibly in the futrure.
I feel like the olympics should not exist
I think that hosting the Olympics would be cool. I understand that it would be a big responsibility to get everything ready and it would risk the dangers of terrorist attacks. It is sad that these days we need to fear coming together for events that are supposed to be fun and bring nations together peacefully. I think that it would have a good turn out because millions of people from around the come to support there country.
I don't think the Olympics being here would be good. I think that because it is a very easy target for ISIS attacks and that could take a lot of lives.
I think it be cool to have it held here but then again you are transferring a lot of people over and back and if anything happen we be responsible for it. I think they should just keep it where its at because they have the snow and everything they need over there.
I think on one side it would be cool when you could say that the Olympics where in your country. But I also agree with the residents of Hamburg. It is really expensive to get the Olympics in your City/ Country. They probably really would spend more money in this than in preparing roads or anything else.
