In Northern California a man living in a veterans home killed three hostages. This man suffered from bipolar disorder, physical ailments, and anger issues. Authorities said that he used to be a resident of a Pathway home. The facility stated that he engaged a police in a standoff. Wong has had a past of threatening and causing trouble. He was kicked out of the program after he was making threats, having knives, and not getting along with other people. He never was actually saying he was going to shoot anyone. He told autorities that he just wanted to get back at them. Wong's guardian of four years believes that he has no bipolar disorder or manic depression. But this does not explain as to why he is doing these harsh things? Professionals are working with him and trying to help him the best they can but no threatments seems to be helping.
If you were a health professional or authorities, what would you suggest the best thing would be to help this man?
I would try to help out this man as best as I can and try to provide him with something that will get him better along the way.
Do you think he deserves to be in jail?
Yes, he deserves a punishment for the 3 woman he shot & killed.

Good job overall! Be sure to comment three different days.
1.) I would probably send him somewhere to only be around professionals instead of living with other "normal" people that he could hurt, but that's hard to determine because it's never a good way for mentally ill people to take everyone they know away from them.
2.) Yes, I think he deserves it.
Yes! I completely agree. He does need to be put somewhere with professionals or people that can help him get better. He could also put the professinoals in danger by threatening them or trying to hurt them. It is very hard to determine what they should do with this man.
I would say the best thing for this man to do is to go get help. If he got help he wouldn't be a threat to the public and would be making himself safer. I think to get him help would be the best thing. Jail could help because he would be safe from the public but he would be getting any help.
Yes, I agree. If he did get locked up in a jail, he wouldn't be getting any help. He would just be sitting there possibly getting wose than he already is. Putting him in jail will protect the community but I don't think it would help him as an individual.
1. I would try to help this man by getting him mental help or I would put him somewhere where he can't hurt anyone else. Maybe he shouldn't be around other people until he gets help
2. Yes. He does deserve to be in jail because he killed 3 people and no one deserves to go unpunished for that
I agree with you. I would try to help this man in the most safest and humane way. He needs to be put somewhere where he isn't danger to others around him or himself. I think he deserves consequences for killing 3 people but he also won't be getting any better by sitting in jail.
I would try to help this man out as best as I could. It would be hard because he had/has a lot of things wrong with him, and I would l provide a good medicine for him. Maybe, do therapy or something. I feel like he should go to like a home or something. Like a crazy house because he's not going to understand why he's in jail if he really has all of those disorders.
I would also try to help this man out the best I could. He did have lots of problems or things that were wrong with him and I think it will take a lot to help this man mentally. And he should go to some kind of home and not a jail. He needs to be somewhere where he won't hurt others or himself, but he also needs to be helped. Sitting in jail will not help him, but make him worse the longer he is in there.
I would try and help it out the best way possible and not want anything bad to happen to him. Yes I do because they killed 3 women so it is basically murder and they have to do something about it.
