A Guinea Fowl is a bird similar to a chicken. One main reason people get this unique breed is because they are very good at eating bugs and other small rodents. It is even estamated that they can eat 4000 ticks a day. Guinea's are known to eat fleas, ticks, grasshoppers, crickets, slugs, and many other things. If you have a good size flock they will forage around the yard and they will even eat snakes. Many people have this breed of bird and enjoy it but they are very noise and alert the others when they find something to eat. However, many people dislike the bird because they are so self sufficient and they might not return home at night on a regular basis. Instead they sleep high in the trees away from predators. These birds are also very hardy and can withstand tempature change and they dont die very easy. Overall, the Guinea is a bug eating machine and not a very good bird to get eggs from because they dont lay many and its a big hunt to find them.
Would you choose to have Guinea Fowls or your regular chickens?
I think it would be pretty cool to have a few Guineas to see if they make a difference in the amount of bugs near my house but i would rather have regular chickens and Guineas instead of just Guineas
Do you think they can really eat up to 4000 ticks a day and why?
I am not sure if i believe one Guinea can eat 4000 ticks a day because that is a lot of ticks to find but i am sure they can eat alot since they have the long summer days to eat as many ticks as they want to before it gets dark.

Well done overall Jayden! I do think your questions could be stronger.
I dont think that i would have chicken and I dont think that I would replace them with this kind of chicken. I like eating them but I am not really good in growing and selling them. Who knows maybe it is a lie that she 4000 ticks a day or it may be a true. For me it is like 50/50. People can come up lot of things to attract societies attention to themselve.
I would choose to have a Guinea Fowls because I wouldn't want any bug swarming me every 5 seconds of the day. I do believe they can any bug that many time a bug because of their stomachs and how they digest them. They can help a lot especially with other animals around.
If I were to get chickens, I would get others first, then get some of them to keep the bug and rodents out. I would probably get males because the females, "are not very good bird to get eggs from because they dont lay many and its a big hunt to find them." Maybe a big one could eat 4000 ticks, bu tnot a small one.
I would choose the Guinea Fowl to help deal with ticks and other animals that could be bothering. Yes I think they can eat up to 4000 ticks a day since ticks are pretty small eating that many wouldn't really seem like that much so it could a lot before even getting full
I would choose a mixed flock instead of one or the other. I think the problem with them eating that many ticks is them finding that many even though it wont fill them up very fast if will still be a lot for them to find in a days time.
Although they do eat a lot of rodents we don’t want in our household. Regular chickens are easier to take care of, won’t likely run away, and produce eggs easier. So I would rather have regular chickens on my farm. I believe that if they find that many ticks that they can eat them all, it just might take awhile. Guineas are small but so are ticks.
I also agree that regular chickens are easier to take care of and mine have only roosted in the wrong spot a few times and it was my fault that they did that. I did not think of it that way about the chickens eating that many ticks but it makes sense that they would do that.
would I want regular chickens or would I want Guinea fowls, I think I would choose the Guinea fowls because they eliminate the ticks and other bugs that could eat my grass, I think they can eat up to 4000 ticks a day because ticks are small and I feel like the Guineas could digest the ticks fast
I am not sure how much bug eat different grass because i still have grass at my house and i dont have the guinea fowl. I think they could eat 4000 ticks and other bugs a day if they could find that many but if you have a decent amount i dont see why there wouldnt be less bugs in your area.
