Two greyhounds were destined for the dinner plate in China until they were rescued by the animal-rights campaigners and are now embracing their new lives overseas. Those two greyhounds were among about 480 canines crammed into a truck in Beijing destined for China's dog-meat trade. The Chinese Campaigners stopped the truck and they wouldn't let the driver pass, they didn't have the proper documents. They had to hand over the animals to the activists. The Birmingham Greyhound Protection organization, a British non-profit group took the dogs in. Now they are happy and living in the U.K.

Opinion: I think that that the China dog meat trade is a terrible thing and they should get rid of it. I would take in all the dogs if I could because I love animals!

I think that the China dog meat trade is awful. Dogs are pets, not food. I would definitely take in the dogs. I don't have any dogs so I would love to rescue some!
I think that it is the stupidest thing I've heard in a while. I don't understand why they would want to eat dog meat in the first place because its just wrong.

I think that it is awful and I wouldn't want to eat dog meat anyway. I would take the dogs in, because otherwise they might get killed and eaten. Also I would feel bad for the dogs, because they weren't taken care of.
I don't see why they would like dog meat, you could get more meat off of cows, pigs and other animals bred for eating. Personally I had had bad experiences with dogs, but I would probably take one or two in.
I don't see anything wrong with it, that's there way of living and no matter who you are you have no right to infringe upon there traditions. No I would not take them in because I don't think I could look at the dog without thinking "You were gonna be a burger at one point in time".
I hate it, I am an animal lover and it hurts a bit to see these amazing animals becoming someones lunch. I would take one of these dogs to be a pet in a heart beat. there would be nothing better than helping an animal in need.
I am also a big animal lover, reading this story just disgusted me and broke my heart! Those poor dogs are getting killed just to go on a dinner plate for people to eat. I would love to help save the animals!

yes i agree dogs are animals that are meant to be family animals and safe to have as a pet. I don't know how people can just eat them, I understand eating other animals because they are not pets, but dogs? I think its gross.
