Justin Amash from Michigan who is a republican says that, Trump is violating our constitutional system. He had an issue with Trumps declaration to make additional funding to build the wall. Justin also stated “I do not think that congress can grant legislative powers to the president by statute” Justin said he thinks that other republicans who support the move are not fulfilling their constitutional responsibilities. Amash is one out of the 13 republicans who voted with the Democrats to pass a measure to block Trumps declaration. Amash stated “We have to protect our own power.”
Do you think Trump is violating our constitutional system?
Do you agree with Amash? Why or Why not?

Overall you summary is quite brief and doesn not inlcude perosnal thoughts. Also be sure to capitalize key words in your title. You also needed to reply more frequenlty to students.
I don't think he is violating it fully but is in the grey area and I agree more with Amash. I don't think the wall is necessary nor an emergency and Trump was overstepping boundaries and his power by trying to get funding with the national emergency declaration. I think promising better border security and lower numbers of illegal immigrants is good but there's a better way and desperately trying to get the wall like this to fulfill his promise isn't a good idea.
The wall is excessive, I think we need to spend the money he wants to use for the wall to get better border patrol. He could spend the money on getting a better/faster way to legalise immigrants. I mean if he legalised them then the percentage of illegal immigrants would go down.
I do not agree with amash because It is not nessecarily unconstitituonal it just may not be something congress can do. Theres really nothing in the constitiuon that states a president can't call for funding and permission to construct such a project. Theres many things that need to be considered before making an accusation this large because it could cause a lot of distress in the government
I think that Trump is just trying to do everything in his power to keep his promise to build the wall that he made during his campaign. He should work on better security. Most immigrants tend to fly over illegally to the U.S. rather than passing the wall and many of these people are just acting as vacationers visiting who never leave. That doesn't mean they don't deserve a good life, its just that they should go through the legal immigration progess like normal people.
The fact is that America was not founded on the idea that just anyone can come here, regardless if their immigration was legal. The wall helps keep the illegal immigrants out because they are just that, illegal. That doesn't mean they don't deserve a good life, its just that they should go through the legal immigration progess like normal people.
In my opinion, I think Trump is trying everything to keep his promise to build the wall that he made during his campaign. A lot of people who voted for him, voted for him because of the wall. If he didn't get the wall built, a lot of people would have been angry with him because he wouldn't have kept his word. This was the only way he was going to build the wall.
The illegal immargant thing is getting way out of hand, there needs to be a wall, or just have more boarder security. Innecent people are dying because aliens are coming in a commiting crimes that should be commited. I don't think he is being unconstitutional but he also should take a better angle at it.
I agree. There are so many illegal aliens coming into the country and making it very unsafe for Americans. I also agree that he isn't being unconstitutional. The democrats weren't going to agreewith his idea no matter what he did, and the wall is being built to protect us.
I think it it because its not a national emergency, in my point of view. It is definitly not right for him to take money that it set aside to help people in distress and use it to build a wall to keep people out of our country. I agree with Amash on his views.
