Just recently a woman wearing Google Glass a portable computer made into glasses was given a ticket in California. Cecilia Abadie was pulled over for speeding but also received a fine for wearing the Google Glasses because the officer thought she could use them as she was driving. More and more states are creating distracted driving fines. Some of them could apply to the Google Glass. Cecilia Abadie says she was not using the glasses when she was driving and besides that the display goes above one eye not blocking it.
I think she should have not got the fine because she was not using it at the time. I do think that if people are using it it could be very dangerous. What do you think should she have gotten the ticket?

I think that getting a fine for not using them is dumb. If people are using them, just like texting and driving, it is distracting and they should be fined.
I dont think that she should have gotten the fine for wearing them because she was no using them at the time, but I understand where the polic officer is coming from because it does seem like it could be a distraction.
I don't think the cop was doing anything wrong by giving her a ticket. If there was someone driving with a half eyepatch I would expect them to get a ticket too. its like having your phone out while driving, its gonna get you a ticket.
I think that she deserves the fine. How is the officer supposed to know if she was using them or not? Its his job to keep the road safe and thats what he was doing.
I think that she should definitely not be getting fined because she was not using it and they have no proof that she was.
I think that she should have taken them off while she was driving, although I don't know why somebody would want the google glasses anyway.
Good choice of story and well done!
I think she should have got a ticket for it because it would be very distracting blocking half your eye sights, and it would distract other drivers also. Distracted driving is a bad thing!
That makes sense I guess because it's almost like you have a laptop in front of you while driving.
I think that they should have gotten the ticket because it's just like texting and driving pretty much because they are distracted from keeping their full attention on the road.
