Joey Prusak went into work at his local Dairy Queen in Minneapolis thinking it would be like any other work night. It turns out he was wrong. He had just served a visually impaired man his ice cream and as he was walking away $20 fell out of his pocket. He went to tell the man but just as he was about to say something a woman bent over and picked it up then put it in her purse. Disgusted he asked her to give the money back to the man but the woman refused and told him it was hers. Joey refused to serve her and she stormed out. He walked over to the man as he was eating his ice cream and handed him a $20 of his own money.
Someone buying ice cream at the D.Q. saw what he did and emailed Dairy Queen. Then the email found its way to the store owner he worked for. After that word spread and soon people were flocking around the Dairy Queen to see him and leave large tips for him. He says he will donate all of the tips to charity. He even got a call from Warren Buffett who owns D. Q. thanking him for being a good role model.
I am Personally disgusted that the woman would not give the man his money back let alone the fact that she took his money in the first place. I think it was very mature what Joey did and I am glad he is now getting credit for it. What would you do if you saw someone pick up money that wasn’t theirs and keep it?

Good job Scott!
That is not everyday that you see that, that guy is a trooper.
While it frustrates me that the woman refused to return the money to the man, it makes me happy to hear about what Joey did! I think what he did was great and he deserves all the recognition he is receiving for his act of kindness. Hopefully more people will learn to do the right thing and make good choices, but overall I think it's nice to hear something good going on in the world, rather than all the violence and bad things we hear about most of time.
That is really pathetic. To do something that dishonest and wrong is just sickening. And what makes it funny is even though she was seen picking it up she lied and said it was hers. She doesn't seem like the smartest girl out there. This just shows that we live in a sick world, but at least we still have people willing to do the right thing.
And now I bet she feels even worse because it is getting all this media attention.
Joey really got the best treatment someone could get. He also dealt with it in the most mature and fair way you could. It would've been nice if someone else there had taken the money from the woman and gave it back, but that's not always going to happen; honestly, it's one of the rarer things that could happen. But any way you slice it, Joey is a genuinely good person.
I am surprised that thought didn't even cross her mind when she wouldn't give the money back.
I would be very disgusted with whoever would do that. If it was a large bill I would either tell the person who lost the money about it or ask the person to return it. The dairy queen worker is a very good deed person and what he got he deserved. It was even nicer to donate all the tips to charity.
I agree with the fact that he definitely deserves everything he is getting.
I would probably tell the person who stole their money, and maybe help them confront the person. That's a good thing the DQ worker did. That women probably feels terrible now, which is good, if she saw this on the news. And especially giving 20 dollars to the man when he himself doesn't have a great job makes it extra cool.
