Gender identity is one's own way of identifying their gender, whether that is man, woman, neither or both. If you asked a group of people how many genders there are, you would get many different answers such as 2, 6, 14 etc. Personally, I believe there are only two genders male and female. There are many different reasons for this like roles, behaviors, and activities. Nowadays society at a given time considers it appropriate for men and women to divide labor for certain jobs. A person born with both male and female parts also known as intersex a disorder of sexual development, Majority of parent choose whether that child is a boy or girl.
There's a question going around right now and that is Should “gender identity” be added to anti-discrimination laws? 56% of Iowa said yes and that the government should do more to protect minorities from discrimination. The other 44% said no that the government should address gender identity as a mental health issue and provide funds for more research and care for those who need it, or that there are only two genders which are genetically determined not psychologically determined. I don't believe that gender identity should be added to anti-discrimination, because your born with either XX chromosomes or XY chromosomes unless intersex happens but in the end the baby is chosen to be a boy or girl.

In my personal opinion, I have grown up with there only being 2 genders. I believe there are still only 2 genders. People should not just be able to change their gender out of the blue. You are birthed with gender and you stay that gender. Gender Identity should be anit-discrimination law.
I agree with you, growing up and learning in school we are taught that there are two genders, so people changing their mind and thinking otherwise is a bit weird to me. I agree that whether you are born a boy or a girl you should stay that gender and not be able to change it.
I think that their are 2 genders and no more than that. I think gender identity should be added to anti-discrimination law because I believe their are 2 genders in all. If you want to be a different gender then you take it up with someone higher teck.
There are only 2 genders. You are either a male or female. When you are born you are biologically a male or female. People should not be able to just macigally change their genders. Gender anit-descrimination should not be a law.

In reality there are really infinate genders since it is a social construct, and the reason people think there is two is because of the three sexes, male, female, and intersex. Although some people do take it a bit far and identify with really out there things, like cats, dogs, or objects, they are a very small minority that give everyone a bad wrap. I agree with you, I don't think many people can understand why others think that there are more than two genders. It makes no sense but I believe that social media has a lot to do with people thinking that. Science I believe has more truth behind it then people trying to say that there are more than females and males.
I agree with you, and like you said waking up one day and saying you're 25 when in reality you're not, it's pretty much the same thing and it shows a lot of what people think is right now. I agree I don't think you should be able to change genders at all and that it should be determined on how you were born, boy or girl.
I think there are only 2 genders, and i do think people have the right to say they are somthing else but there are truly only 2 genders. now on the discrimination law i dont think there should be one because its freedom of speech and even if the government inforced it people would still discriminate others.
