Gender identity is one's own way of identifying their gender, whether that is man, woman, neither or both. If you asked a group of people how many genders there are, you would get many different answers such as 2, 6, 14 etc. Personally, I believe there are only two genders male and female. There are many different reasons for this like roles, behaviors, and activities. Nowadays society at a given time considers it appropriate for men and women to divide labor for certain jobs. A person born with both male and female parts also known as intersex a disorder of sexual development, Majority of parent choose whether that child is a boy or girl.
There's a question going around right now and that is Should “gender identity” be added to anti-discrimination laws? 56% of Iowa said yes and that the government should do more to protect minorities from discrimination. The other 44% said no that the government should address gender identity as a mental health issue and provide funds for more research and care for those who need it, or that there are only two genders which are genetically determined not psychologically determined. I don't believe that gender identity should be added to anti-discrimination, because your born with either XX chromosomes or XY chromosomes unless intersex happens but in the end the baby is chosen to be a boy or girl.

I agree with you, there are two genders but I feel that this is something that will forever be a subject and will always have different answers when talked about. But in the end like you said you may identify as something other than male or female but you are still one or the other at the end of the day.
Scientifically I think that there are 2 genders. Now, that is scientific, and your are born with certain chromosomes that state wheither you are considered a make or a female that is a fact. Gender identity is asking people what they want to be, I personally think that it is fine, as long as you don't go around making new gneders. If you are a male to female, or a female to male, then you do you, I dont have a problem with that. I dont think there is any need for anti-dicrimination laws, mostly because there are already laws that say you can't fire, or not hire someone because of their religion, race, or gender.
I agree with you, but there are people making up new things all the time, different genders being one of those things. I agree with not making it a law also because like you said there is little to no place that you can go and not get hired if you identify as something other than male or female but I still do believe that there are only two genders.
I think there are onlt two genders, there have always been two genders and two names for genders. I think a lot of people love to make other people mad talking about it and like the attention for the things they say so they like to say there are more gender.
I agree with you, I do believe that people like talking about this subject to make others mad, which it does in certain cases. But many people have their own opinions and think differently from the others. I do agree that there are two genders and there are always going to be two genders.
Gender identity is what you identify as, it's not your chromosomes or how much testosterone you have in your body, It's a social construct NOT biology. Having XX or XY chromosomes doesn't determine your gender identity and It most surely is not a mental health issue.
Gender identity should most surely be added to anti-discriminatory laws. With time we as humans evolve and discover new things and set new boundaries so we can freely express ourselves, but gender identity isn't one of them, it has existed as long as humanity has, and we deserve to freely express ourselves regardless of other people's prejudice.
there are only 2 and 2 only. no because what other gender is there? because I havent heard of a name for any other gender than a pretty close name to the original. If there is more than one where are they because i dont see them any where. I think people just do it for attention.
I do agree with you that there are two genders, if you look it up online "How many genders are there?" depending on the way you type the question, you will get many different answers. If you look it up and put the word scientifically the answer will be two. In some cases I do agree with people doing it for attention but not every case.
I think that gender identity should be added to anti-discrimination law. There are so many people who get discriminated because of the way they feel and identify and we need to protect them. Moreover, gender identity doesn't necessarily equal sex gender identity.
I somewhat agree with you, Yes people everyday get judge and discriminated because the way they either think or feel but I don't think that gender identity should be added because it could just cause more hurtful things to the people that think there are more than two gender and the people who identify as more than male or female.
