Most Hollywood directors these days are unimaginative and have no inspiration. They're either re-making movies and destroying their reputation or they read a book and turn it into a film. Most times, when stories jump from the pages to the silver screen, they crash and burn. For example, books like Percy Jackson, Twilight, and I Am Number Four. All of them did rather poorly. However, some have been successful like Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. There are still more to come as well like Breaking Dawn, The Host, and, what I'm most excited for, The Hunger Games. So what do you think about some of these movies? Did you like the books or movies better? What books would you like to see on the big screen?

youu are such a dork. you're only supporting the movies you like haha did you even read narnia? it goes both ways though, the twilight books are way better than the movies but in my opinion, the percy jackson movie was slightly better than the book only because it kept me interested in what was going to happen. the book did not do me that justice.
There are definitely some movies that were better as books, but there are many that are vice versa. I read Marley and Me after I saw it but I liked the movie better because it was more fun to experience it. I just think that directors need to be careful when recreating books...

So T.V is a definite breakthrough.
The Harry Potter movies are really good, i don't really like reading, but the movies are legit.
