A man named Brian Banks was accused of rape. He didn’t actually do though but he still served time for though. Then after 10 months of being in prison he signed a deal to play for the NFL team. The head manager was so excited to have him back on their team. He apparently has shown that he is prepared for this opportunity. A year ago though as he got out of prison on parole. He was registered as a sex offender. He says that “While serving time in prison, he was forced to abandon his hopes of playing in the NFL someday. The women people thought he had raped later admitted that he had not kidnapped or raped her at all.
I just want to say that this is a happy and sad story. To think that the women would do something like that in the first place is so sad. That part is just so weird first of all. I was glad that being in prison didn’t affect his football dreams in the afterwards.

I don't understand why this women would accuse an innocent man of such a serious crime. Its awful that he had to serve time for a crime that he didn't even commit. I'm glad everything worked out in the end for him and he got to live out his dream of playing in the NFL!
This would probably be one of the most exciting times of his life. He got out of jail, didn't do the crime, and was drafted to the NFL. Five years is a long time, but for a crime like this, someone should be in jail this long. I don't understand how anyone of accusing someone of a crime such as this and know you put them behind bars when they could be playing the NFL and have a successful life.
Why would anyone falsely accuse someone with something as serious and life altering as this? That is just sick. I feel like the lady should have some sort of punishment because of what she did. It is good that the time he served did not affect his NFL career. This is a sad story with a happy ending.
