In recent news, a campaign in Arizona has promised to give out a free shot gun to people to protect themselves. This is all for the armed citizen project, their goal is to give guns to single women in crime infested neighborhoods. It is planned that they will be handing out guns by May, when the guns are given out those receiving them will also receive gun training.
At first I thought this could be a good idea, but then I thought what if those receiving the guns are the ones are doing the crimes. I think that people should not push others to have guns.

I think its a good idea overall but we dont want the guns ending up in the wrong hands. its very sad this world has came to using as much violence as we do. There is no point in ever killing someone rather than in a war zone.
Well, it did sound like a pretty good idea to be giving them for protection purposes, but what if one of those women are crime involved and give that gun to someone else and they do something bad. hmm..
I agree that they shouldn't force it upon people, but it is a great idea. It gives those who would like a gun, the choice to get one and the proper training. I would have to disagree about the area they are handing them out in. High crime areas are places that people's homes will get broke into and guns will be stolen. When these guns get into the wrong hands, they are used in the opposite way they are supposed to. There is no right answer for gun control.
like this sounds like a good idea but in reality i dont know if it is.. like people could really use these for good causes (like protecting yourself) but what if they use it for killing people? i dont think they should do this.
I think on the surface it sounds like a good idea but who's to say these people aren't the ones who are going to commit the crimes? When think about it, who knows what they are training these people to do? All in all, I really don't think this is a good plan, although the intentions are fair.
I think it should be a peoples choice to get a gun or not and that they should not give out shotguns for free. There could be robberies and the guns could fall into the wrong hands. The people can just go to a store so there is a record of them purchasing a gun.

That is dumb just because someone acts like a normal human doesnt mean that they are they could have some problems at home are something and they could use it for a bad purpose
