A US funeral home offered free funerals for people who planned to drink and drive on New Year's Eve. McGuire, Jennings, and Miller Funeral home said that people had to sign a contract saying that they planned to drink or do drugs and then drive on December 31. If they were to be killed in a car crash while driving, the funeral home of Rome, Georgia will bury them for free. The free funeral would cover preparation of the body, a coffin, a grave, and a hearse.Apparently it was meant to make people think about driving home drunk.

really, if you think about it, it's a good idea. They are showing them that there IS a possibility that they can die from doing that and make them think twice about it. Yet there are those "It could never happen to me" people.
I think its dumb. Because the ones who plan to drink or do drugs and drive, are apparently the ones who dont think in the first placee. so do you honestly think that they are going to stop and think about driving home drunk, like it says above? no, not at all.. and if they choose to risk their lives, thats their fault. no funeral home needs to pay for the decisons the intoxicated or high make.
