A 16 year old in New York, named Frankie Riggeri wants to change the Super Bowl. He thinks that the Super Bowl should be on a Saturday instead of a Sunday. Frankie states that a larger number of people would watch the football game and “the NFL will get more money and more people would travel to the game if it were on a Saturday.” Due to the Sports Broadcasting Act, NFL games have always been on Sunday so the NFL games don't interfere with college and high school football. But Frankie is still confused as to why they can't move it, because college and high school football are done by the time of the Super Bowl. To help make his case stronger, Frankie included some statistics. With some research he found that “more than 17 million US employees may miss work that following Monday” after the Super Bowl has occurred. He obviously wasn't able to change the Super Bowl this year, but he hopes next year he can. To read more click here.
Would you like the Super Bowl to be moved to Saturday, if so why or why not
I would definitely like the Super Bowl to be moved, so then I wouldn't have to be so tired the next day at school. The game does go pretty late, and you can't just stop watching in the middle of the game.
Why do you think 17 million employees miss work that Monday?
I think a lot of the employees may still be recovering from the night before, and don’t want to have to get up and go to work.

Well done Claire!
I would like the Super Bowl to be moved to a Saturday. The Super Bowl ends late, and it’s tiring going to school the next day. I think most stay up late and don’t have the energy to go to work. Also some might be traveling back still. If it was moved, people wouldn’t have to go to work or school the next day and can sleep in.
I think that it's smart to move the Super Bowl to Saturday. It's more convienient to stay up later on a Saturday because people don't have school/work the next day. I wouldn't doubt that seventeen million employees miss work the Monday after the Super Bowl because people are out late with their friends and are too tired to work the next day.
I believe the Super Bowl should be moved to Saturday. Many people stay up late and have parties. This makes many employees, students, and teachers tired the next day. I think that's why many people miss work the next day. Lots of people would prefer the game on Saturday because of everyone's attitudes. Students will probably be sleeping in class, and many teachers won't feel good or be sleepy aswell.
I think that the Super Bowl should be moved to Saturday because it would allow more people to stay up late and watch the game. Most people can not do that because they have work or school the next morning. I think that 17 million employees might miss work because they want to have fun for the Super Bowl so they party with their friends or travel to see the game and risk missing that one day of work, when it could be easily fixed by them just moving the Super Bowl day.
I don't really care if it is moved. I don't really watch the Super Bowl. I think it makes more sense to move it to Saturday, though. I like to sleep in after staying up. I don't really care too much about tradition. The system should be what works best, not just the oldest.
I think parties run later than the Super Bowl. It's a big deal, and only once a year so it's fine though.
I think people miss it because they stay up really late that night and need to recuperate from the wild parties they have during the Super Bowl.
I would like to move superbowl to saturday because it would be beneficial so people don't miss work, or the following monday should be a day off. I think it makes sense for people to miss work, considering that they are basically up all night partying with their friends afterwards.
I agree that it should be moved to a Saturday so people don't miss work. I also think it makes sense that a lot of people would miss work because some are out late partying, some travel to watch the Super Bowl at the stadium, and others travel to see family and friends to watch the game.
It would be beneficial for the people who have to go to work or school the next day. I think more people would be happier if Monday was made into a holiday, rather then moving the days. This would allow there to be no change in the Super Bowl Sunday tradition.
Alright, to clarify, I don't care too much, I'm just not a big fan of football. Now, I think Frankie has a great idea here, less people will miss work, they'll have more viewers, all that good stuff. So yeah, go ahead and move it to saturday, its logical. But I think people mainly miss work on monday's due to other conditions such as health, weather, or traffic.
