Four Tons of Stolen Oranges Found

In Seville, Spain, police cars saw suspicious behavior of three vehicles. The cars were driving in a convoy, and they suspiciously turned sharply when they saw the police car. The police caught up to them in a short high speed chase. When the Spanish police caught up to two of the cars, they opened the rear door of a sedan, and hundreds of stolen oranges spilled out!

Police in Seville, Spain found 9,000 pounds of stolen oranges stuffed into three vehicle.

The police searched the area, and found another van, also full of oranges.

Later, the police traced the oranges back to a robbery in an orange factory in Camarona. The theft had been reported earlier that day. So far, nearly 9,000 oranges were found. The investigation continues as of the second of February.

1. How would you react as a police officer if you opened the door and thousands of oranges spilled out over you?
I would be kind of scared, actually. It would be weird having tons of oranges falling all over you with no warning.

2. Why do you think the crooks chose to take oranges?

I think they chose to take oranges because there probably isn't super tight security at an orange factory, but you could sell them pretty easily without being traced.

  • Strange story! Be sure to provide a hyperlin to the actual story. I also think you should have continued commenting throughout the week. Pages 1-4 only have two comments.

  • I would be very confused. Then I would look at the robber and just ask why? Why steal this many oranges they'll just rot in a few days. I honestly have no clue why anyone in there right mind would take that many oranges, maybe they weren't in their right minds.

  • 1. I would actually think it was pretty funny because if I opened a door and thousands of oranges started rolling out my first reaction would be like why the heck do you have thousands of oranges in your backseat?

    2. I feel like they stole oranges because they thought it would be funny or maybe they just liked oranges.

  • I would be like oh lordy what were you thinking. I feel like they did it for a joke. Why would they even need that many organges. What were they going to do with them? I think they did it as a joke to be like ya we stole these organges look at us.

  • 1.  I would probably start laughing and look for a camera somewhere around me because this sounds and looks more like a prank to the police than a serious robbery.

    2. I have no idea what brought them to this particular action but maybe they thought they could make lots of money with the selling. I really like to know their original purpose for doing that..

  • I would find that very strange and it might even freak me out a lot. I wouldn't even know what to think was happening. They probably stole them because they are easy to get and easy to hide. You could also sell them to make money. I don't think its very smart to have them piled up in the car though.

  • I would find it very odd. Who steals this many oranges, Over 9,000 oranges in a car would be very odd. I don't exactly know why these people stole these oranges probaly to sell them for money.

  • I would be super confused. Who steals 9,000 oranges? I wouldn't quite understand what is going on and why it happend? I think they would had to choose to steal these oranges. I have no clue to why they would choose oranges out of everything, but whatever works I guess?

  • 1 I will be shock because I would not understand the situation and I will start asking question and see if they got those oranges legally.

2 Honestly I don't know why they took it ,I meant I don’t think oranges are a good product to sell, but I can understand how they might think that if they sell 4 tons of oranges they could make at least some money.

  • I would be concerned. Why would you steal thousands of oranges?. I think they stole it because it is easier to steal oranges at a factory with less security than stealing money at the bank with high security.
