In 1966 there was a race - Ford against Ferrari. It was one of the biggest races in history for Ford and Ferrari. Ken Miles was a very good race car driver who drove for Ford. Henry Ford II was in charge of Ford Motor Company, and he thought he wasn't selling enough vehicles, so he wanted to get into racing to get more buyers. He tried to make a deal with Ferrari, but they said no.
They raced against each other in 1966 at 24 hours of LaMans race. Maclaren who drove a Ford won because he drove a farther distance in 24 hours. Two Fords finished together with Miles in front, but Maclaren started farther back so he won.

I feel like in order to make sure this was an actual win they should've started at the same starting point. It's only common sense. They went through a full 24hr process just to have it not be a clear, specific race. I'd personally rather own a Ferrari. They make a statement and I've not known Fords to be reliable.
I agree that they should have started at the same point just to make it more fair for both of the drivers in the race. I think the ferrari would win because they are fast and cooler looking that they other car. However cost more money .
There is a lot that relies on the driver but other things relate to the car. There is always a chance that ford would've won depending on the driver and the car droven. I would definetly like to drive a ferrari over a ford because a ferrari is luxury car and ford is an affordable one. So I beleive that it would be an experience to drive a ferrari.
