With Covid-19 around a lot of people think we have a lot more deaths this year compared to last year. And the years before, But this year doesn't have too many more deaths than 2019-2018. I personally think that the reason why people think there are a lot more this year is because of the pandemic. But the flu rate is down almost 76 percent compared to last year. The covid deaths almost equal the deaths of the flu.
In 2018 There were 2.8 million deaths without covid-19 in 2019 there were 2.9 million deaths without covid-19 as well. In the 2018-2019 flu season there were 35 million cases of the flu that had to go to the hospital. I think the flu season was getting worse and worse over the years and that's why the deaths kept rising . In 2020 the flu rate is down 2 percent. I think that is why the deaths are just as bad as last year.
In 2020 the deaths were 2.6 million in november that's almost 2-3 million less then the year before with only 2 months left. I think that everyone wearing a mask has decreased the flu rate and that covid isn't as deadly as the flu. I personally think that covid- 19 isn't as deadly as we all think it is, I think that the flu is more deadly than covid but since covide is causing a pandemic that we all think it is a lot worse.

I Feel like they are both bad i just feel like the flu is worse and Im sure they are both very similar to the death rates but i feel like if the flu didnt have vaccines then it would be more deadly then covid but i could be wrong
I think the flu and covid-19 can both be dangerous viruses depending on your health conditions. Although I think Covid-19 has more deadly effects depending on your health conditions. I do not think the world should care more about the flu than they already do.
I agree and disagree i think that the flu should be more worried about but i also think we should focus more on covid then the flu right now until we figure out covid.i also think that covid does kill more people with conditions.
Just in numbers, the flu is more deadly than the coronavirus, but that's because the flu has been around much longer than coronavirus and has been in many other places. I think that the reason the flu rates are down this year is because since everybody is so caught up in safety against covid-19, that wearing the masks and social distancing has also protected us against the flu.
I agree i think the reason why the flu numbers are down are because we are being very safe about covid so the mask wearing is helping us a lot from protecting ourselfs from covid. I also think the flu numbers will be higher when we get a working vaccine for covid
I think that flu used to have higher death rate than Covid, but it has also been around for a lot longer. I think the world should still care about the flu, but we have a vaccine and a lot of doctors who know about flu and not a lot of doctors know that much about Covid.
I agree we do have a vaccine for the flu so right now i think we should worry more about covid but once we figure out a vaccine for covide i think we should worry a little bit more about the flu and try figuring out how to stop the spread more.
I do think that the coronavirus is a lot more deadly than the flu since there were many more hospitilizations for covid than the flu. Also if it wasn't as bad, we wouldn't have to wear masks. I think we should care more about the coronavirus than the flu since the flu is managable.
Im not sure if we should care more about covid or the flu i feel like we should care about covid until there is a well working vaccine because the flu was terrible when there wasnt a vaccine but when we got a vaccine then the numbers went way down but it still kills a lot of people.
In my opinion, i think they both could be deadly depending on the person that gets it but covid have shown more to attack more people these days and more people have died because of covid in just one year.
