With Covid-19 around a lot of people think we have a lot more deaths this year compared to last year. And the years before, But this year doesn't have too many more deaths than 2019-2018. I personally think that the reason why people think there are a lot more this year is because of the pandemic. But the flu rate is down almost 76 percent compared to last year. The covid deaths almost equal the deaths of the flu.
In 2018 There were 2.8 million deaths without covid-19 in 2019 there were 2.9 million deaths without covid-19 as well. In the 2018-2019 flu season there were 35 million cases of the flu that had to go to the hospital. I think the flu season was getting worse and worse over the years and that's why the deaths kept rising . In 2020 the flu rate is down 2 percent. I think that is why the deaths are just as bad as last year.
In 2020 the deaths were 2.6 million in november that's almost 2-3 million less then the year before with only 2 months left. I think that everyone wearing a mask has decreased the flu rate and that covid isn't as deadly as the flu. I personally think that covid- 19 isn't as deadly as we all think it is, I think that the flu is more deadly than covid but since covide is causing a pandemic that we all think it is a lot worse.

I agree they are both deadly but I feel like the only reason the numbers are up for covid is because there isnt a vaccine out yet we are almost there but not yet. I feel like when it comes out the numbers will drop massivly but i could be wrong .
I think it really depends on the preexisting conditions, I think that COVID-19 could attack people with preexisting conditions worse, but if people were healthy COVID would not hit them as hard. But the Flu could effect healthy people a lot more. I really think the World is doing enough for the flu.
I agree i think that covid has more effect on people who has more conditions while the flu can effect healthy people nd none healthy people. I also feel like we should worry a little bit more about the flu or just a little bit less about covid
I really don't know I think that the flu and covid are about the same but I understand that you have to take a lot more causion with covid. Yes I think we should care more about it becasue to people who get it are like oh ok I have the flu I will be better in a few days but on some cases its not like that. No becasue you said that the flu rate form last year has gone down 76%.

I think that both Flu and Covid-19 are both deadly, because no matter people are dying from both aren't they? So in this case they are both deadly. I think the world should care a lot more about the flu, because if it gets to our elders then for them it feels ten times worse then when we have it. I think when they add up the numbers it might me a little over the number from last year. But all in all we can't really know. We can not predict the future, so all we can do is wait and see.
