With Covid-19 around a lot of people think we have a lot more deaths this year compared to last year. And the years before, But this year doesn't have too many more deaths than 2019-2018. I personally think that the reason why people think there are a lot more this year is because of the pandemic. But the flu rate is down almost 76 percent compared to last year. The covid deaths almost equal the deaths of the flu.
In 2018 There were 2.8 million deaths without covid-19 in 2019 there were 2.9 million deaths without covid-19 as well. In the 2018-2019 flu season there were 35 million cases of the flu that had to go to the hospital. I think the flu season was getting worse and worse over the years and that's why the deaths kept rising . In 2020 the flu rate is down 2 percent. I think that is why the deaths are just as bad as last year.
In 2020 the deaths were 2.6 million in november that's almost 2-3 million less then the year before with only 2 months left. I think that everyone wearing a mask has decreased the flu rate and that covid isn't as deadly as the flu. I personally think that covid- 19 isn't as deadly as we all think it is, I think that the flu is more deadly than covid but since covide is causing a pandemic that we all think it is a lot worse.

I think the flu is more deadly than the flu. All the death markings arent from covid its self, its from other things wrong with the person. If the US had the actual deaths from just covid its self I think the deaths would be cut down so much. I think that maybe the Covid spreads easier but it dosent kill many people that dont have additional things wrong with them.
I have been hearing for a while now that flu deaths are going to be way lower this year. I think this is because everyone is paying attention to washing there hand and not touching there eyes. I also think the flu deaths are lower because we are wearing mask and using hand sanitizer after touching things.
I agree i think the main reason it is donw is because everyone is wearing mask and protecting themselfs from covid but its helping protect them from both covid and the flu. I think that the handsanitizer helps a lot too because then when u touch your face ur hands are clean.
The flu may be more deadly but it doesnt spread like covid. theres a reason why people are scared of covid. Like the fact that it spreads quickly and is very deadly to people with conditions. I bet the numbers of deaths go down with the vaccine coming into play.
I feel like the flu was just as deadly when we didnt have vaccines for it tho i understand that covid spreads really easy but we dont have vaccines for it and they help so much and can make you almost imune to the disease.
I personally think that the flu is obviously not even close to as deadly and contagious as the flu. If the flu was as bad or worse then COVID-19 then we would have worn a mask a long time ago. I think that since we have a vaccine for the flu it is more treatable but there is a lot of scientific evidence that shows that COVID-19 is much more contagious and deadly than the flu.
I disagree I think the flu is worse because we already have vaccines for the flu and it still kills a bunch of people each year and it was really bad when there wasnt a vaccine i think covid will be less deadly by a long shot when the vaccines come out .
I don't think the virus is as bad as the flu. Now, you could say that Corona virus is bad because we have vaccines for the flu. But if you look at number of the flu during the 1900s it is a lot worse than Coronavirus. I don't think that the deaths will hit the same number as last.
I agree with i think that covid is being more amped up then it should be i mean its srtill a bad disease but i think the flu was and is worse there were more people alive now then in the 1900 as well so i think the flu is worse
I think that they are both bad diseases especially depending on your health and your health risks that you have. I feel like Covid definitely is more deadly than the flu because it has more dangerous effects that it has on older people. I could easliy it being higher or hit the same number as last year.
