With Covid-19 around a lot of people think we have a lot more deaths this year compared to last year. And the years before, But this year doesn't have too many more deaths than 2019-2018. I personally think that the reason why people think there are a lot more this year is because of the pandemic. But the flu rate is down almost 76 percent compared to last year. The covid deaths almost equal the deaths of the flu.
In 2018 There were 2.8 million deaths without covid-19 in 2019 there were 2.9 million deaths without covid-19 as well. In the 2018-2019 flu season there were 35 million cases of the flu that had to go to the hospital. I think the flu season was getting worse and worse over the years and that's why the deaths kept rising . In 2020 the flu rate is down 2 percent. I think that is why the deaths are just as bad as last year.
In 2020 the deaths were 2.6 million in november that's almost 2-3 million less then the year before with only 2 months left. I think that everyone wearing a mask has decreased the flu rate and that covid isn't as deadly as the flu. I personally think that covid- 19 isn't as deadly as we all think it is, I think that the flu is more deadly than covid but since covide is causing a pandemic that we all think it is a lot worse.

I think the flu is more deadly then Covid-19 because if you do the number Covid-19 really only infects people but it does not kill them. I think in some places yes they should care more but I think America is fine where it is at. I don't think so because people know how to treat it and we have a vaccine.

I think that the flu is still more deadly than covid. I think the flu is more deadly because it is still around after a long time but covid is newer and I think that is why so many people are saying it is deadlier. I do think more people should care more about the flu because I have had it and it is not fun.

However, I do not think that the number of deaths will match lasts years, due to the mask mandate. So, I do believe that the numbers will be lower than the previous years.
i think that the flu wont be hurting as much people since we all been wearing masks and washng our hands way more and stuff like that. but i think that covid is worse i dont really know but since we already have a flu shot i dont think that the flu is really that bad and that covid is a little bit worse then the flu
As of right now the new vaccine came out so now people are going to be able to slow down the Covid and there is already a flu shot I think they are both deadly. People shouldn't have to worry about it if they can trust the scientist that make the vaccine. I guess it depends if the covid vaccine affects the flu vaccine.
I think that statisticly the flu is more deadly that COVID-19 but people are being hostbitalized at a higher rate than the flu. I think that people are just scared of COVID because it is new and not the flu because it has been in the world year after year and getting the vacine.

COVID 19 seems like a worse sickness becuase it's a new one, and scientists still don't have a vaccine or an answer for it yet. I think we should care more about every sickness. After COVID i'm nervous for another outbreak.
I think that people are freaking over covid because of the news. Yes people are really sick from covid but they get really sick from the flu too. I think there will be a ton less flu this year because people wear masks and stay away from people and groups and wash their hands more. I don't think there will be very many deaths from the flu but covid will make up for it.
I agree i think that the reason why covid is so huge right now is because of the media and numbers where as the flu doesnt get recorded and put out on the news as much. I also think the numbers will go donw woth the masks and washing hands etc.
