With Covid-19 around a lot of people think we have a lot more deaths this year compared to last year. And the years before, But this year doesn't have too many more deaths than 2019-2018. I personally think that the reason why people think there are a lot more this year is because of the pandemic. But the flu rate is down almost 76 percent compared to last year. The covid deaths almost equal the deaths of the flu.
In 2018 There were 2.8 million deaths without covid-19 in 2019 there were 2.9 million deaths without covid-19 as well. In the 2018-2019 flu season there were 35 million cases of the flu that had to go to the hospital. I think the flu season was getting worse and worse over the years and that's why the deaths kept rising . In 2020 the flu rate is down 2 percent. I think that is why the deaths are just as bad as last year.
In 2020 the deaths were 2.6 million in november that's almost 2-3 million less then the year before with only 2 months left. I think that everyone wearing a mask has decreased the flu rate and that covid isn't as deadly as the flu. I personally think that covid- 19 isn't as deadly as we all think it is, I think that the flu is more deadly than covid but since covide is causing a pandemic that we all think it is a lot worse.

I agree that they are both bad diseases but i feel like flu is worse because it can kill young kids or older kids we just ahve a vaccine to help prevent it from getting to us. I also think that it will probably hit around the same number as last year but not higher because there isnt that much time left to hit the same number.
In my opinion ,the virus is not has deadly as the flu. I think that a huge problem that has been happening is most of these deaths are marked as dying from the virus, but many of those people had other health issues and just happened to have the virus when they died. I think the virus is blown out of proportion and is getting way out of hand, especially when statistics show that there isnt a huge difference is deaths this year than over the last couple years.
I agree I think the flu is worse i feel like the only reason covid is blown out of the water is because we have social media. if covid had bee around instead of the flu and the flu was just found out i feel like it would be the same thing happening. I think that it is getting way out of hand tho.
I agree that Covid-19 isn't as deadly as the flu but the reason I feel like why the flu numbers are down is because a lot of deaths that may not be covid related and be flu related are getting reported as covid deaths. I'm sure in some cases flu had a say in why the person died.
I agree I feel like if someone died with the flu they would be reported as a covid death i also think that the numbers are down because of masks. i also feel like flu is more deadly because we have a vaccine and it still kills a bunch of people.
I think that the flu is more deadly because of the fact it's a virus that attacks everything. With covid, it kills you through pneumonia and long infections. I don't think the death toll would be the same number because they make vaccines to help prevent them.

I think that both the Flu and Covid-19 are dangerous for people, but there are reasons as to why Covid-19 is considered more deadly/dangerous right now vs. the Fu. One reason is that Covid-19 has only been around for a year, so that means it needed all new research/examinations, while the Flu has been around for a long time. I do think that the world should care more about the Flu, but they are two different viruses, so you shouldn't necessarily compare them.
I agree i think they are both dangerous but i feel like the flu is worse but i feel like covid is worse until the vaccine comes out but after the vaccine comes out i think the flu will be more dealy then covid but i could be wrong .
I think that they are both harmful viruses and they are bad for you if you have bad health conditions. The flu and Covid-19 both have high death cases in the past few years. They are both if you have bad health conditions and Covid-19 has more dangerous effects.
