The invasive burmese python is ruining the Florida Everglades in more ways than one. The invasive snake is killing huge amounts of prey and that is starving off the native species of animals. Florida is looking for people to come out and kill the snakes at a starting wage of $8.65 an hour. There is also many bounties to increase your pay for killing the invasive snakes. 50 dollars is added on to all snakes that measure to be over 4 foot long and 25 additional dollars for every foot over 4 feet. There is also a $200 bonus for snakes guarding a nest of eggs. 787 snakes under 4 feet were captured in the past year and there are many more snakes to be captured to save the everglades.
Questions
1. Would you fly down to Florida to save the everglades if you landed the job and why?
I would because my grandparents are moving down there and it would be such a fun time to kill snakes for a good cause.
2. Do you think they are doing the right thing by moving some invasive snakes and killing others?
I personally thing they should kill all the ones they catch because the ones that are moved will just start the same problem in a different place.

First I might go down to hunt pythons as long as I get to cook it afterwards. Second of all uprooting that many pythons is gonna be a giant project with millions of dollars, so killing all of them would be redundant, we should learn about them and use them for something more than just skins.
I also think that it would be super fun to get to work for a job killing and invasive species and then being able to bring some of the meat home and be able to make your family a meal or something nice with the interesting snake skin and you could sell the skins to make extra money to.
I would not fly down to Florida for this job. it's dangerous and I'm not a huge fan of snakes either. I think they should move some snakes, but not all. If they killed all of the snakes, that might make them go extinct, or endangered. Killing only some of the snakes would solve most of the problems they are causing.
Im not sure if i would fly all the way down there for the job cause i could probally make more money going and working at other places but if i lived close i would definetly try to do it. I would rather see the invasive species go extinct in that area then all the natural animals dieing away.
I think they should kill all the snakes because its killing a lot of the natural inhabitants. I the invassive species should be capured and killed to enure that they don't come back and destroy the everglades by killing the population of the everglades.
i would probaly not move to the everglades because there job can be dangruas and it could probaly get you killed there are so many snakes with poisenes venoms in there fangs that can get you killed in seconds or minutes som in my choice i would not go
I would not fly down to Florida to save the everglades becasue I don't want to get bit by a snake and die. I could also die from heat exhausition because of the florida heat and constant humidity. I also would make more money at walmart.
I probably would not fly down to florida to save the everglades because I don't want to die from being killed by a snake. I also hate the heat of florida and the starting wage is the same amount I make working at fareway. I think they should kill all the snakes because its killing a lot of the natural inhabitants.
I did not think about being killed and eatan by a snake out there in the everglades. I would like to think they have some safety items to protect people from the big snakes and every other animal out there. Fareway doesnt have all the bounty money the 8.65 is the constant pay but extra money is easy to get.
Yes I would fly down for the job because youwould make some good money and it would be fun but dangerous at the same time because you are going thourgh the everglades and yoy could find alot more then snakes. Yes, I think they should kill some of the snakes to take care of the population but also save some so there population does not get dameged.
