Michael Dunn, a white 47 year old, had pulled up to a convince store in 2012 for his fiancé to buy some wine after his daughters wedding. He pulled up to a SUV with 4 black teens. They were blaring gangbanger themed rap music so loud it was shaking cars next to it. Dunn asked the driver Jordan Davis, 17 year old black teen, to turn it down. One of Davis's friend complied and turned the music down. Davis turned it up and started to insult Dunn. A argument broke out and Davis started threating Dunn and started to get out of the SUV. Dunn thought he saw a gun pointed at him from the back seat. Dunn, registered permit holder for concealed carry, pulled out his pistol firing 10 times. It hit the SUV 9 times, killing Davis. He has been been found guilty of attempted murder and may face 60 years in prison. There was no gun found in the SUV.

I think he shouldn't serve anytime. He was being threaten and believed his life in danger. I believe the teens shouldn't have music that loud and respect other's around them.

What are your guys thoughts on this? Do you think he did the right thing in the current situation.

  • Good job but work on shorter titles.

  • I personally don't think he did the right thing. He just needed to tell them and then walk away. The teen also should of just turned his music down respectively just like his friend had in the beginning.

    • He did leave it alone after asking but then Davis started insulting and then threating him.

  • I think if I were Dunn I would have just got in my car as fast as I could and drove away. I don't think there was reason enough to kill the man.

    • That wasn't the problem the problem was he was being threaten and he thought he saw a gun.

  • I think that he was just asking very nicely. doesn't mean that you have to kill him.

  • The dude could have just simply walked passed the group of guys peacefully, and nothing would have happened. he would go in and out of the store no problem, then left without a care in the world. this entire problem could have been avoided without even confront the group.

  • He should have called the police instead. Maybe he should have tried asking him to turn it down....

    • Please go back and read the whole story.

  • He should have called the police instead of doing what he did. That was not right, just ask to turn it down.
