A Continental Airlines flight bound for California was diverted to San Antonio, Texas after a man lit a cigarette in the cabin and refused to put it out when an attendant asked him to do so. The man got angry and finally tried to fight the attendant. Any thoughts on this?

  • OMG! if you smoke, you shouldn't fly! And what is happening to our country?! Smoking kills you! is that really that hard to realize?!

  • Please stay calm and avoid the fire in the main cabin, and assistant will be there momentarely to help you out of your seat. :P

  • Why the heck would you even consider bringing cigarettes on an airplane?! He needs to get a life other than smoking.
  • that is stupid.. the rules already say that you cant smoke in the plane .. the man shouldn't, in first place, take the cigarette into the plane
  • If he absolutely needs to smoke, he shouldn't fly.I don't think he was thinking of the people around him. If i sat by a smoker on a plane I think i'd be really uncomfortable.. and smelly.

  • Wow. He must be addicted cause that seems a little insane to smoke on a plane and then try to fight the flight attendent who tried to get you to stop. Stopping the plane was probably the best thing to do.

  • Thats dumb. Haha you think he opened a window.
  • that's crazy, how stupid do you have to be to light a cigarette on an airplane!?

  • Man the guy must be extremly addicted to smokin if he couldnt make it. i cnt belive he tried to fight a flight attendent. i think its pure stupidity on the guys part. i think they made a right decision by stoping
