On February 29, 2020, the first death of Coronavirus in the United States was reported. The reporters say that it was a Washington State man in his mid-50’s. The man wasn’t found to have any underlying health conditions. The patient that died was followed by more cases popping up throughout the west coast. Though he is not the only one at The Life Care Center in Kirkland that has symptoms, he was the only confirmed case of the Coronavirus. Health officials say that 27 other patients and 25 staff members have symptoms sort of like the ones related to the new coronavirus. They also say that this could be the first possible outbreak of the new disease in the United States. Soon after the announcement of his death, President Trump announced that more travel restrictions would be put in place. President Trump also said that there would be no reason to panic. The virus should not change our daily routines, we should carry on with our normal lifestyle.

What would you do if you found out someone in your family had the coronavirus?
Even if Trump had said not to panic, I probably still would. If someone in my family had it, I would be worried. Not only for them, but also for me. If I lived with them I would be even more worried because I would be more likely to get it.
Now that there has been a death in the U.S. are you more worried that you might get it?
No, the man that died lived in Washington State which is still very far from Iowa. Even though there have been reported cases close to us, no one around here has died yet.

I would most likley keep my distance from them and have them also keep their distance from other family members and other people to prevent to risk of it spreading even more. No. I'm not so worried because he wasn't near Iowa.
If someone in my family got the coronavirus I would be scared, they would have a chance of dying, and I would also have a pretty high chance of getting the coronavirus. Since people in the US are now dying from the coronavirus, Im still not that worryed about it, it's not like there has been a case in Harlan.
If someone in my family had corona i would take them to get help imedietlly before it spreads in the family, I am a little bit more cautious than before there were cases in the US but I dont think i will get it if i stay sanitary and clean and keep my hands out of my mouth.
I would still be around them and take care of them even if its just a friend or family member
No because the virus is still far away from iowa
I agree, it isn't very close to us, but I would still be worried.
I would definitely be scared because I would be close to them. I would probably wash my hands a ton after I found out and not go anywhere they went. No I am not anymore worried about it then I have been. I think its been blown way out of proportion, more people die from the flu and other causes instead of the Coronavirus.
I think i would send them to the place where they are keeping corona virus patents so they can get treatment so they dont die. Yes, I am more worried than i was before but im still not that worried about it because the news said that it dont efect youn as much as the elders.
I would definitely be scared. The Corona virus is super deadly and should be treated right away. I would be worried for everyone around that person because the Corona virus is spreading very quickly. I am a little more scared but it probably won't reach Iowa.
Good summary Delaney but you should have replied about ten more times.
If i would find out that one of our family members had the cornoia virus, i would first get tested to see if i have it. Then I would take a shower make sure I am all clean and probably go to a close relatives house until cleared.I am not worried at this point only because there hasn’t really been a case close to me.
