Fidel Ángel Castro Díaz-Balart, the former Cuban President's son, commited suicide early Thursday morning. Fidel had medical attention in few months earlier due to deep depression and was hospitalized from it. Fidelito (little Fidel Castro) was the first and only child of this famous Cuban family. He had an interest in science and recieved a degree in the former USSR. He was known as well for his studies on how to develope nuclear energy in Cuba. With his interest in science, he was the vicepresident of the Academy of Science.

Questions:
How do you think we can attempt to decrease the amount of suicides locally and internationally?
I think we can try and not make it such a taboo subject. Naturally, mental health is a taboo subject, but if we can figure out a way to start speaking about it more without joking about it. Making jokes about self mutilation, suicide, or even schizophrenia is wrong and if the wrong person heard that. They could become seriously emotionally triggered. Letting someone know that you're able to talk about anything, without judgements, could help them live.
Do you believe mental health crisis are rising that lead to hospitalizations?
I do believe mental health crisis are rising rapidly. Unfortunately, two of the larger facilities closed a few years ago in Iowa. Making it even more difficult to find inpatient care. I feel adolescent suicides have been high since 1980.

Well done Ayaan!
I don't really know I think that we could learn to accept people more and that we should be friendly to everyone around us. I think that mental health is an issue for some people and that they need to be able to get help whenever they need it I think that it does lead to some hospitalizations.
We need to speak about suicides but not over speak. Having the suicide prevention talk once a year is enough, or if you suspect someone is tell an adult. If you overtalk about it, it may have server concequences. Yes, any failed attempt of suicide leads to hospitalization. There are many known ways the each have different concequences.
I believe over-speaking isn't such a thing about this topic. There are so many different reasons for one's actions of suicide. Yes, we can't memorize every single reason why one would commit or attempt this act. Although, I think we should know more.
1. I think we can't help unless poeple want to be help in locally and internationally.
2. I do think it rising because some people have mental problem but don't said anything and end up hurting themselves or others.
I see your thinking. I agree with you. If they want help, that is great. Although, not wanting help will have severe concequences that possibly will not be able to be reversed.
I'm not sure if it's possible to decrease the sucide rates because of all the content that is viewable for everyone in the internet. Of course, motivators, psychiologists, and even family members could help to change someone's mind in a good way, but still, the media stays in the web.
I don't think I have enough knowladge about this to give an answer that would perfectly be correct, but from what I get to know through media and people around me; yes. Like I mentioned before, with social media, mentally weak people have another (even greater way) to get more mentally unstable.
I agree with you with the social media part. Social media can make one become more unstable if one uses it for that. I feel that there are so many toxic things for mental illnesses in the internet. If the person knows how to use the media in a healthy way, I'm all for it.
Maybe keep a good eye on people that look like they seem upset all the time. Maybe try and catch the issue earlyer. Yes i do believe that mental health crisis is the cause But, it doesn't help if there are less places for those time of people to go. I think that maybe there should be more places for people with bad mental health can go to get help that's if they want the help of course.
What if the person seems happy all of the time? See, that is where I feel education is more key than just to keep an eye out on them. I see where you are thinking though. I agree with you on that more mental health facilities are needing to be created.
