A father and son are facing murder charges after police say they shot and killed a neighbor in Abilene, Texas, over a dispute about a box spring, an incident the victim's common-law wife caught on camera. According to police, on September 1, John Miller, 67, and his son Michael Miller, 31, got into a confrontation with their neighbor over a box spring mattress in a shared alleyway. The argument escalated, and both father and son discharged a handgun and a shotgun, respectively, killing 37-year-old Aaron Howard, police said. They both immediately bonded out on initial bonds set at $25,000 each, according to an updated statement from Standridge released Friday, "a great concern to both myself and our community."

I think that the situation with the box spring could have been handled in a better way than this man and his child had delt with it. They could have done many other things to get there way, but they didn't need to bring it to that extreme. Yes, I think that these men deserve life in prison. The crime of murder is very serious.

Based on what I know of the story I think that the shooters do deserve a life sentence, but for all we know the victim pulled a knife on them, with that being said I am guessing that wasn't the case and in which case I think that they deserve a long stay in jail.

They might deserve a life sentence, or a life sentence into an asylum. If you kill a person over part of a bed, you need serious help and supervision. This is dumb to kill a person for, just figure out a way to peacefully dump trash. A boxspring might need to be taken to a dump though because of its size. I read an article on it and the murderer sounds unhinged. Honestly, the murderers sound like the type of people to complain about their lattes not being picture-perfect and throw a fit at the manager.
