Faking your own kidnapping?

So back in elementry school we all hated the parent-teacher conferences when it involved our grades not being the best. Well this boy was definitely not looking forward to his.

The 11 year old boy texted his father telling him that he had been kidnapped! His father then proceeded to call him, but the boy did the whole "I cant hear you""your breaking up" move and ended the call. His father, being a police officer, called up the police and the search started. There was even police at the Portugal border making sure the "kidnapper" didn't cross it.

The dad then noticed that the keys to their other apartment were taken. Guess who was there. The boy! Lucky for him the police didnt press charges.

My thoughts are...why? just why....how about yours?

  • Okay seriously? He's going to be in way more trouble now than he ever would have been for having bad grades. This just goes to show how people can act repulsively to a situation when they don't think things through.

  • There is so many ways to get out of your parents going to the Conferences! Dragging the police into it though is a little bit way to far.

  • I think his grades must have been pretty bad if he fakes a kidnapping. I would just tell my parents the truth, not do the stunt that he did.

  • This is a little bit humorous, but yet it's wrong that the child would do something like this. I think that his "prank" went too far. He should have a punishment of some sort.

  • ok so if you really don't like that that much try harder to get better grades and then they will not be as bad. But don't fake a kidnapping thats a serious thing.

  • I know that kids don't like parent-teacher conferences but this is taking it a little too far. Aparently he either had really bad grades or wasn't act too well in class if he didn't want to go this badly!

  • That's actually kind of funny..He's going to be in way more trouble now than he ever would have been with a few bad grades.

  • He really must not have wanted to go to those conferences. He is really lucky he didn't get into more trouble than he did!

  • That is so dumb of the little boy. My guess is he wanted attention or something, but being kidnapped is definitely not something to joke about!

  • At least he is creative and spunky. I wouldn't have guts to do that. He should consider a career in acting..
