Facebook Brag Costs Family $80,000

Patrick Snay was the headmaster of the Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami for several years but in 2010 the school didn't renew his contract. Snay sued his former employer for a age discrimination and won the settlement of $80,000. However Snay's daughter Dana couldn't resist bragging about it to her 1,200 facebook friends. Dana told her friends that her parents won the case with Gulliver. Also that Gulliver is now officially paying for her trip to Europe that summer.

I think that her parents should of told her they won the case and said nothing more. What do you think? Was it an act of pride or selfishness?

  • Good job Jailyn!

  • I agree the should of just told her they won the case. It was an act of selfishness. She shouldn't of bragged. I wouldn't let her go to Europe.

    • I agree I wouldn't let her go.

  • I think both

  • I don't think that she should have brought it up on Facebook. It's a personal matter that her Facebook friends don't need to know. I don't think it should have been mentioned at all.

    • I agree instead of telling her everything her parents should of just given her a brief explanation of what happened.

  • She souldnt have said anything about it on face book, nobody like a bragger.

    • I agree but I would also be excited to go to Europe but the way she said it was selfish.

  • I think that this girl was very stupid by putting something like this on a social network, if she wouldnt have said something about him paying for her trip to europe she wouldve been fine. I think this is very selfish.

    • I agree that is very selfish. Her parents should use that money elsewhere instead of a three month trip.
