Friday night, an Arizona man escaped from prison to go and see his girlfriend for Valentine's Day. Joseph Dekenipp went to the extremes just to be able to see her. Dekenipp was at a recreation time outside when he made his escape. He crawled past razor wire and scaled two fences and went to a bar 10 miles away. When officials realized that he was missing, they began the search for him. The K-9 unit was used but the dogs couldn't find his scent anymore. It was soon told that he was given a ride to the bar. The officials went to the bar, where the found Dekenipp, not wearing his prison uniform.
3 hours after his disappearance, he was back in prison. His previous charges included suspected car theft, unlawful flight, and driving on a suspended license. The charges now include an escape charge.

I think that the girlfriend would always remember this especially since he went to those extremes to see her. This is also a good remembrance for her to make her realize how much he cares about her since he would escape just for her.
It sweet how he thought of her for valentines day, but it's not right. It would've been nice for her but not the best idea.
I think that maybe if he wanted to see her so bad he could have arranged a meeting for the two of them.
I think it would have just been smarter for him to have her visit him in jail than for him to escape because that would have gotten him in a lot more trouble and it wouldnt be worth it.
I don't think this is a bad story at all. Noted he escaped prison but it was for a good reason. I think it is really sweet that he did this, it means he must really love her. :)
I think that it's creepy that people can just escape jail that easy without them noticing for a while. I wouldn't want to remember that day because then it's just going to be longer before they would get out.
I'm not sure if nobody was watching him or if they had no security on duty, but it shouldn't have been that easy to get out of jail.
I think this is a really cute love story. It shows he really loves his girlfriend.
I think it's sweet for him to go so far to see his girlfriend on Valentine's Day but I don't think it was good for him. He's probably going to get more time in prison and going to have consequences.
