This is an older story but it still grinds my gears. 1 in 50 Americans have an allergy so bad that they need an epipen to save their life. Mylan has increased the price to around $600 for something that could save someone's life. Yes they have a coupon card, but that only saves families $100, leaving them with a large bill yet to pay. It only costs Mylan a few dollars to makes an EpiPen so why is there cost for families outrageous? It is for pushing commercials to promote a live saving drug. On average it takes 6 minutes for medical crews to arrive, leaving the victim little chance to survive which is why an EpiPen is a necessity.

What is your opinion on the price hike on EpiPens?
Do you think it is fair to families that need EpiPens to have to pay $600?
My Opinion
I think that it is unfair that families have to pay so much for a drug that could save a life of a family member. Not everyone can afford a life saving drug for so much. I think that it seems scary for an adult to have worry about the possibility about not paying for something that could save their life if the need arises. Mylan needs to realize that not everyone has the money to pay for something they shouldn't need to pay for. It is ridiculous and unnecessary.

Good job Delaney!
Seems extremely greedy on the companies fault especially when it is something that saves lives. The epi pens also expire so you have to by 1 every year or so. Crazy that people can do this. Just hope other companies can start making it and then the price will fall to competition. It is insane to make families by these especially those who can barely scrape by as it is.
I think is really terrible that the price is so high. People need it to survive and now they have this huge bill to pay if they want to live. It's outrageous. Families shoudn't have to pay $600 from an EpiPens. Noway. It's just stupid for people to try get more money on this.
These prices are unfair to the people really need the epipens. If they can't afford they aren't going to buy it but they need it. Then when something happens and they don't have their epipen they could possibly die. These epipens save many lives, now many lives could be lost because they couldn't afford a ridiculous priced medicine.
I think that if so many people have to have them they should lower the price because then people that really need them can't pay for them.. I that if you can't afford it they should lower it or have the company help out since they are selling it for so much. I don't think its far that they should be paying that much on a drug that helps save people! I think it's ridiculous!
I dont like it because it could save peoples life but if they cant afford and their loved one dies that really bad.
No its not because like I said if there loved one dies that really bad for the company.
I think that the price is ridiculous and should be lowered. Plus, I don't think it's fair to the families. For something that is needed and could potentially be life saving, they shouldn't charge that much.
I think that the price of the EpiPen should definitely be lowered because i feel like it is not fair that families should not have to pay $600 because I think that is too much.
I think that the price of Epipen needs to be lowered. I do not think it is fair at all that families have to pay $600 because that seems too much and I think they should at least sell them for $100 dollars.
I agree that the price of an epipen needs to lower. Having a family member that carry's an epipen those 6 minutes can change your life. It would save many people if it was lowered to a reasonable price, even if it was $100 so that people with not much money can have one to save there life.
