A judge in New york has ruled that two four year olds can be sued for negligence after they "ran down" an elderly woman in April of 2009. The children were racing down the street on their bicycles (both equipped with training wheels) under the supervision of their mothers and the two children apparently hit the elderly woman or as the attorney of her estate puts it they, "ran her down". The elderly woman suffered a severe hip fracture that required surgery. She died three weeks later. Now I'm not sure if she died due to her injuries but her estate is bringing charges against the children, not the mothers, for negligence and when the charges were appealed the judge said that any child over four can be held accountable for negligence, under 4 and you cannot be. Personally I think this is ridiculous and really what is the point??? Suing 4 year olds isn't going to bring the lady back to life and it is going to basically ruin the lives of those kids. here is the Link.

Who sues a four year old? This is crazy. I highly doubt the two kids intentionally ran into her with the hope of killing her. Unless of course we have a couple sadistic toddlers on our hands.
oh jeez. now i dont think its right that the moms werent paying closer attention, but whats to sue?? shes dead, its not like SHE will inherit anything from it..
uhm? thats dumb, four year olds dont understand the meaning of being sued! what are they going to pay their lawyers in? blocks and boogers?? this is dumb. and there is no proof the woman died from being trampled by four year olds, on that she had a hip fracture, she could have died of old age or some other complication.
I think thats just sad on the part of the people who are sueing the kids. because i mean come on. their just little kids who were just having a little fun. it was a complete accident. I think their just trying to get more money.
