Elderly gardener who survived after impaling eye socket on pruning shears

Leroy Luetscher an 86-year-old Arizona man just got done trimming his plants when he fell face first into his prunning shears injecting one of handles through his right eye socket and half of his head. "The pain was so bad that I guess I wasn't afraid to die." He did survive and he is doing good now. Is he lucky he survived?     NOw this doesnt happen everyday!! ohh.. the pain that would unbelivable.. but OFVOURSE he is lucky he survived! read your first sentence.. that proves it.

    Omg! if i was there and that happened i would be freaking out and not knowing what to do because i would be in shock! I think he is very lucky that he is alive!

    I'd say yes, because he got a blunt object through his eye socket. Also I'm assuming he won't have sight out of that eye.

      he has sight out of both eyes. surprisingly.
