On September 16 a 8.3 magnum earthquake hit Chile. It killed five people and made one million people evacuate. The earthquake has sent warnings of tsunami to Chile, California, Hawaii and nearby areas. This is the biggest earthquake Chile has seen is years. Earthquake precautions that Chile has taken seems to have payed off a little bit.
I think that Chile is pretty lucky with only five known deaths. I don't know what I would think and do if that happened to me though, If Lost everything from an earthquake or was even just around an earthquake when it a cured.
What do you think you would do if you were in this situation, how would you handle it? Would you still live in an area that has earthquake?

Good overall. You could have replied a few more times.
I think it depends on what shape my house is in. If it was ruined I would be distraught and would most likely have to move away.
Ya, if your house is still in good shape, you probably have a job, and all your family is there, It would be a hard decision. I feel I would also probably be trying to wrap my head around the situation for a while also.
I guess if i lived in that area i would except some earthquakes to happen and i would get use to them, so i think i woudl handle it well, i dont know what i wouls do about the moving situation cause if my house if still stable and standing i would live there but if my house was gone i would go get my stuff and move the a different state or town.
I would move away because it seems like they have a lot of earthquakes.
I think I would be caught off guard. that would be horrible if one of my friends got caught up in that. Afterwards i would pack my bags And go somewhere, where there is no earthquakes.
If I was there in Chile, I would be very scared. Although you are supposed to put others before yourself, I think that you need to put yourself first in this serious of a situation. I would seek safety for my family and I. Once we were all safe and together, then I would start helping others. I think that an earthquake is a rare enough event, that I wouldn't have to move out of that area.
If I was in an earthquake I think that I would try to save my family and pets but I think that I would be a little scared. I would move to a different area with a less chance of earthquakes.
Ya I can agree with both, I think that I would definitely find shelter and provide for my family first and after go out and help the others in need. I also am not sure if I would stay in the area or move because in some areas earthquakes are frequent, so Im not entirely sure if I would move. If I had a good job in the area it would also make it hard to move, and family living there.
