No, they found no treatment for Down Syndrome itself. BUT they did successfully remove the extra chromosome. While this doesn't treat down syndrome it can treat blood disorders associated with down syndrome like leukemia. I think that this is awesome and am glad that they can improve the health of people with down syndrome, what do you all think of this?

That's awesome! My mom works at children's hospital so it's hard for her to see children suffer with leukemia hopefully there are close to a break through!
Technology and Science has gone so far in the past couple of years. I hope this really does help
This is great because peoples lives can be increased, and they wont have to worry about other illnesses.
I think this is a great advancement! Although this can't totally treat down syndrome it is great that they can reduce some of the other complications.
Im so glad that they have done something, at least. While it may not be an actual treatment, it can make someone's life better somewhere. They are on the right track.
This is really cool to hear. It had to be awesome news to someone who knows someone with down syndrome. I hope that this research continues and hopefully cures the disease.
This is great that they have made this discovery. It is not only good for treating the symptoms assosciated with Down Syndrome, but it is also a gateway for discovering similar cures for similar diseases.
I know many people who are Downs. This is huge, because many people have this disability. Even though there is a birth defect, they are still adorable babies/kids! Hopefully they can continue on this lead!

This is so awesome. I'm glad that with technology we can figure things like this. Who knows, with years to come maybe we can completely cure things like that.
