As some of you might know a couple days ago the senate voted to acuit former president Trump on a charge of incitement of insurrection ending the fourth impeachment trial in U.S history, this being Trump's second. Despite the significant support from republicans for conviction Trump was still excused. The final vote count ended up 57 to 43, 10 short of the 67 needed to secure conviction, the outcome of the vote means the senate cannot bar Trump from holding future federal offices.
Personally I feel as if he should've been impeached this time as he did even more wrong than the first time he was tried. He ultimately started and brought violence upon the Capitol building and caused damage, lives to be lost, and even potentially lives of our government to be lost as the people stormed the building. I don't know a whole lot but I believe he should've been impeached.
Do you think former president Doanld Trump should've been acquitted?
Should the republicans have chose Trump over the country?

Ian,
Your topic is good as it was the big story of the week. With that said, your summary is a bit brief and you need to do a better job of promoting your story. All three "bumps" were done on Thursday afternoon. You should have bumped your story much earlier in the week. -10 late
I think that a president should know his supporters and what they are capable of doing, when you give a speech as important as the one that Trump gave you have to be careful with what you say because there are consequences to your words. Even while it was happening he didn't act in the way a president should act.

I agree and believe that Trump should have been impeached again for his actions. Though many people can argue that he didn't do anthing wrong, he implied violence and the need to assert dominance. However the crowd may have taken his words a bit too seriously and everyone, from both political parties, can agree that what was done is seriously wrong; on many more levels than one.
