"Black lives matter"! This topic has been a huge problem from the start, to slaves, to now George Floyed's death. I think that is has really started to be a big problem "Black lives matter" because of George Floyed's death. Derek Chauvin was presssed for murder and now is in jail for killing George. I agree that Derek should go to prison because of how he had his knee on his neck and George kept yelling "I can't breath". I do believe "Black lives matter".
Another opinion is that is "Black lives matter" fair to other races in other types of compaitions? Like "The Oscars" 2021, all most all of the people that were there running for it were black. I am not saying it is racist but it is a little suspisions that had happened. And I am not saying that it is weird a black person won the Oscars. People believe that all lives matter not just black or white, all of races matter no matter what.
I think that all lives matter and not just a certain race. Every certain race has been susessful in life if they were a scientist, a athlete, or an actor ect.. I just think that everyone should get a chance in life no matter what race you are. Yes, I think it was wrong that Derek was on George's neck and killed him but what if it wasn't his fault, it might have been the drugs he had taken before. Yes, I think it is a little suspisions that the Oscars had all black people running for it, but it might have been a coincidence. I think that we should stop the "Black lives matter" and say "Human lives matter" because all lives matter.

Interesting topic and well done overall Chase! Your summary could have flowed a bit better and you could have replied back a few more times as well.
I can totally see and understand why the movement came about, but at this point it's only creating problems for absolutely everyone. There's no way it's unfair, as it is just saying that Black lives matter and never implied that others didn't. Blacks needed to demand justice and equality, and they've been heard. I'm not saying it was an end all, cure all, but these things change in short, spread out spirts. Changes are made one step at a time. They've already accomplished so much, but things have been going downhill for a while. It is now creating large divisions because no one knows how radical another is on their beliefs is and it can cause an instant tension or close-minded perspective, which is moving in the wrong direction. There are changes that still need to be made, but they need to be paced and heavily thought about before being acted on.
I feel that all lives matter no matter the person’s race. We are each good at different things and that is what makes the world work. If you just had people who were engineers our world would just be full of engineers and no doctors or teachers. So that is why we need all people, in matter the race, in the world that can do everything. So I do think that “black lives matter” but I think that everybody's lives matter. Our world is filled with everybody of different talents and abilities and that is what makes our world.
I for sure think Derek killed george floyd there is no training in the history of cops anywhere that says putting a knee of someones neck for 9 and half mintues is necessary. I do think "black lives matter" is a little unfair to the other races. I don't understand how it isn't rasiest to say just black lives matter when the fact is its not just black people that matter which they do but so does everybody else.
I believe that black lives matter, but I don't agree with the Black Lives Matter movement. It is causing more damage and harm than it is helping. George Floyd had drugs in his system that certainly assisted in his death but the police officer was not helping by putting his knee on his neck for nine and a half minutes.
I agree the "Black lives matter" movement has just been getting worse. I think that Derek did not killl him but did have to do with some of it. I do think that the drugs that Floyd took, be for what happened, did have to do a lot of the killing of George Floyd. I do think it is very stupid of Derek to have his knee on George for over nine in a half minutes.

No one was saying All Lives Matter until BLM became a movement. If ALM started in response to injustices against people, then there'd be no issue. But ALM was a protest to BLM, a movement trying to highlight the injustices black people face. If black lives don't matter, then you can't say that all lives do. There's a difference between focus and exclusion. BLM focuses on black lives because it began after widespread injustices to black people; that isn't to say that ONLY black lives matter. If someone says "Could I have a plate of dinner?", the "too" at the end of the sentence is implied. You wouldn't assume they are asking that only they get a plate of dinner. If all lives matter, prove it and support black lives. Derek Chauvin is a murderer and has been proven as such in court.
I see where people are coming from when they say "black lives matter" as being unfair. There clearly stating that black lives matter, there's nothing out there about white lives matter or even all lives matter. Of course the african american people have had a harder time getting the same treatment as white people have throughout history, but that shouldn't necessarily make them matter than anyone else. It can be argued from both ways but I can side more with it being unfair because it seems as they matter more than anyone right now. They have blown this group way out of proportion and it making eveything else because those people believe they should matter more than any of us, when we are just as important as them.
I don't think that it can be unfair, when you say that black lives matter you're not saying that other people's don't. The movement is just trying to raise awareness on a particular issue, I do think that Derek Chauvin killed George Floyd and there was no need for him to keep his knee on Floyd's neck for more than 9 minutes.
