I was pounded with baseball and driver's ed. And while doing so, I mentally prepared myself for school to start. Reality "hit me like a ton of bricks." Such a cheesy thing to say.
At the begining of the summer I went to st. louis missiouri with my best friend anna to 6 flags. It was very exciting because i love amusment parks and Anna and I always have fun together. The middle of the summer I had swim team. Swim team is always fun except this year the practices were kind of cold in the morning. I went to the pool often in the middle of the summer and ate at subway with friends between swim team and pool time. Okoboji was my weekend spot haning out with my cousins and waverunning. I had band camp for a week and it wasn't so bad. My summer didnt feel like much of a summer because of all the activityis i participated in and it wasnt all that warm.
On the fourt of july me and two of my cousins went to Adventurland to celebrate my birthday. After that we went shopping at Jordan Creek. On July 19 my dad, my uncle, three of my cousins and my second cousin went on a camping/canoeing trip at the boundary waters between canada and minnesota. It was so fun. We were up there for a week. When we came back there was a blueberry festival. Ha that was quite the experience. On August 16th I went to River Riot. That was so fun. I saw my cousin and three of her friends so I hung out with them. I went swimming at my pool a lot. Thats about covers it.
This summer I hung out with my friends a lot. We went to a lot of movies together and did a lot of shopping! We had lots of fun times together.
I also went with my family to South Dakota. We saw Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse and did a lot of fun things. That's my grandpa's favorite place to go and he really enjoyed it. Overall it was a pretty good summer.
I played a lot of basketball and volleyball this summer. I took Drivers Ed., which took up about a month and a half. Mariah and I spent a week at our grandparents together. After that, our family went up to Spirit Lake for our vacation, but Dad still coached his girls at a team camp while we were there. Then, I pretty much just hung out here for a week and then school started.
When school first got out, I went to a cabin in Woodbine with Megan Getty's and Dena Baughman. We had a blast. I also brought those two girls to my cabin in South Dakota. I went there about five times this summer. For fourth of July, I went to our cabin again. I hung out with my neighbors Tage and Taylor. In July, I went to my other cabin in Minnesota for a week. At the end of July, I went camping in Portsmouth. Summer always goes by too fast but i definitely had fun!!
This summer I focused on my sports. I went to numerous basketball and volleyball camps, and almost all of the open gyms. I also spent some time with my nine month old cousin who lived in Germany because my uncle is in the Air Force, but now they live in Boston. Other than that all I did was Drivers Ed and play for the Portsmouth WIGSL team.
My summer started out with having to go to divers ed every Tuesday and Thursday. After that I mainly just hung out with my friends. I spent two weeks in Des Moines visiting my aunts and cousin. At the end of the summer my family went to the Wisconsin Dells for a week. That's about all I did this summer.
At the beginning of the summer I had drivers ed every Tuesday and Thursday. It was horrible and I hated it. But I passed haha. After drivers ed was over I spent the rest of my summer being grounded! I hung out with friends but I had to be home by curfew every night. I couldn't spend the night at anyone's house. I did learned my lesson haha. I also went camping alot, almost every weekend. That's basically what I did all summer.
This summer I didn't do very much. I basically just worked,swam,and slept in. For my summer vacation I went to Colorado with my friend Molly and her family. We went camping in the mountains for a week.
