On Febuary 20th Zion Williamson who is a Duke baskteball player. Who on this day was playing North Carolina, and not to long after the game started Zion's foot blew through his shoe resulting in a knee injury. Ever since the incident people are wanting more for college athletes to be paid beyond there scholorships if they have one. Cody J. McDavis states "Paying student-athletes might sound like a fairer way to treat students who generate so much money and attention for their colleges... But paying athletes would distort the economics of college sports in a way that would hurt the broader community of student-athletes, universities, fans and alumni. "

Do you tink college athletes should be paid why/why not?
I think that they should especially if they are not on a scholorship and play because then they can help pay for college or Since they are risking there future by possibly getting injured and ending their careers making their future in sports not happen. If players do get paid though it should be like 10 - 15 thousand at most.
If athletes are paid do you think that differetn sports should get more money than others?
Yes because in sports like football and soccer were someone can get hurt much easier than say a swimmer or a golfer. Football is also harder on your body from the hits and blows compared to a golfer who might hurt their back.

Godo job overall. Be sure to space out your replied between three days better.
I think that they should get paid because they spend lots of time on these colleges. I think that sports that are more dangerous than others should get more money because they are putting more on the line.
I believe that the college athletes, bringing money and attention to their colleges, should be paid to play the sports. I think that it could really help out the kids in sports if they get paid beyond the scholarship, that some athletes don't have. I think that some sports should get more than others, based on how much money they're bringing in and the amount of attention the sport gets.
I deffinetly think some sports would make more than others just because some sports have way more fans than others and those athletes would be making way more money than atheltes in other sports .
I think athletes should and shouldn't be payed just because its not fair to most players just because they dont bring much attention to the game or anything and it all just depends on how they are being payed
I think the college athletes should be paid because there's a huge risk of injuries like Zion's and like you said it could help them pay for college if they didn't get enough scholarships. Also being an athele takes a lot of time and effort and is basically a full time job and I think at the college level they should be compensated.
I think the question of payment for each sport is a difficult one. Colleges could give more money to athletes playing poplular sports but that's not fair to those who work as hard in something less popular. They could also pay based on performance but people lose sometimes and it could be bad on the health and mindset of players who would then have a drive to win every time for the money. I think the risk of injury in the sport should be accounted in the payment as well.
I don't really pay that much attention to sports besides the ones I play. So I could care less about who or what player get paid or if they are on a scholorship or not. I don't really care what sport get money or who get money for playing more dangerous sports or anything like that.
I totally agree that sports that bring in more fans or have a higher risk factor should pay their athletetes more than others. Especially football and basketball because those two sports are also extremely popular among fans and obviously bring in more money than say running or golfing. I think the way they get paid should be based off of risk and revenue they give to the college
I agree with you but some athletes would think its unfair because they arn't making as much as another player or another player in a different sport so if athletes do get payed they are going to have to figure out a system
