Disappearance of Johnny Gosch from Des Moines

John David Gosch was born on November 12th 1969, He was raised by his parents John and Noreen Gosch. He was raised into a good neighborhood, but something happened to him while he was delivering newspapers. John Gosch was only 2 years old when he was "Kidnapped". He was thought by many people that he was put into a sex trafficking in nebraska. His mother was sent many pictures of a guy tied up but no one has proof its actually him. Some pictures that she was sent were proven to be kids that were held captive in florida crime scene.

On sunday morning, September 5, 1982 Johnny was delivering newspapers on his normal route. Johnny was supposed to wake his father and ask him to go with him that day A neighbor named Mike reported that he observed Gosch talking to a stocky man in a blue two-toned Ford Fairmont with nebraska plates. He said, "I keep hoping I'll wake up in the middle of the night and see that number on the license plate as distinctly as night and day, but that hasn't happened." Rossi underwent Hyponosis police some of the numbers and that the plate was from Warren country, Iowa

  • I find it to be terrible that someone can be kidnapped at such a young age especially for such a horrid purpose. If something like this  happened today, we would be more likely to find  the missing person, because we have better ways to track people through phone, credit card use ect.

  • I think that this is very bad.  I think that people back then didn't have the supplies that we have now to help us  find people.  Also people didn't have the technology that we have today that can spread information faster than back then.  If he was put into sex trafficking you would think that possibly they would be able to find him if his name was mentioned.

  • This is so tragic. He had so much life to live and it was just stolen away. His parents could have done better but its not really their fault. selling a 2 year old into sex trafficking is terrible and his parents must feel so bad. His mother seems to have gone mad because of the photos shes posting.

  • I think that it is horrible that he was kidnapped at such a young age. I think that his parents should have been more attentive, after all, he was 2 years old and was out on his own delivering papers. If he was put into sex trafficking, I think that would be a pretty traumatizing experience for anyone to go through, but it would be especially hard on him because of his young age.

  • I think its very sad that people are kidnapped everyday and sometimes are never found. I can't imagine the paint his parents must've felt when he disappeared. I think its good that Mike has at least some evidence that he remembers that could help the investigation even more. Hopefully one day more evidence comes out and they find John David Gosch.

    • I agree, Most families are left heartbroken due to ignorance and child predators. This is sick and shouldnt happen but people are not mentally stable like others. Some people enjoy taking childeren for terror to the family to target and weaken the family because their family was never strong.

  • It is very scary how someone can be kidnapped and their parents never fine them. Hopefully someday we can put a complete stop to kidnapping and human trafficking. If something like this happened today we would have a much higher chance of finding the kidnappers though.

    • Honestly i agree, I could never imagine waking up everyday and wonder were my kid and start to worry about his health and stability because you cant help him. I would be heart broken because i would feel i didnt do my job as a parent to take care of him.

  • It's a sad story to think about how a kid was kiddnaped and never saw again. It's also scary to think about how it could happen to anybody around us without us even knowing until it's to late. I feel like if it happened today there would be a much higher chance of finding the missing person due to all the advandced technology we have in our lives today.

    • I think that if it would happen today it would be more advanced for both sides of the story, The kidnapper would have more places hide a kid. Before the kid is hurt though it would most likely be found because of all the technology and camera on every road.
