A construction worker was digging out a place for a new oil pipeline, when his backhoe revealed a dinosaur tail! It happened in Spirit River, Canada, where they are working to get the fossil uncovered before it starts to snow. They will take it away and clean it, trying to classify what type of dinosaur it is. It could take awhile Matthew Vavrek, the paleontologist, says. The tail is about 30 meters long, and because of this, Vavrek thinks it will be a larger dinosaur.
This is really cool, that they were able to find part of a fossil. I hope they will be able to recover the whole dinosaur. Do you think it's a complete skeleton? Have an estimate how long it will take to have the results of what dinosaur it will be? I'm thinking maybe 2 months. But then, that's just a guess.
