A paleontologists dream is to find a dinosour bone. But what would be even better is finding the first fossil of a species on a new continent. Bones of a dinosour called the gallenosouras where discovered for the first time on Australia. Gallenosouras is a small dinosaur about the size of a kangaroo has just been discovered for the first time on australia. this was a huge breakthrough in plaeontology, serving to show that there was a large range of dinosaurs everywhere. The Gallenosouras is not a new dinosauras it has been found before. The plaeontolgy index was just updated earlier this week
Paleontologists all compete to find the dinosaur first, so how would you feel if you were a paleontologist if one of your coworkers was to find the dinosaur?
What would be your reaction to finding a species of dinosaur not thought to be on your continent?

Good job replying. Be sure to inlcude personal thoughts in your summary.
I would be happy for them but I would also be jealous because bones are going to be hard to find. If I was one to find find a species of dinosaur that wasn;t known to be on my continent it would be really intresting to find it and would try to find more.
I would be happy if I found out that my coworker found a dinosaur. I would ask if he/she needs help with anything. I would be suprised if I found a dinosaur that I thought was not to be on my continent. I would want to find out more on how it got there.
I can't say that I really agree with your thought here. If one of my coworkers was to find a dinosouar I would be extremely jealous as dinosouar bones are not as common as the public might perceive them to be.
If I were a Paleontologist and my coworker found a dinosaur bone, I would be happy for him, but I would also wish that I had found the bone. It would be pretty interesting to find a bone thought not to be found on your continent. I would probably be really excited!
1. I would go over and help them dig it out so maybe I would get some credit too, or at least be mentioned. I would also congratulate them on his find sense I'm sure they'd be excited.
2. I would be excited and want to find more. It's not everyday something like that happens.
I like your way of thinking. I may not have found the dinosouar but what is the second best thing to that? getting partial credit for the dig up and discvery of the dinosaur.
I think it would be awesome if someone you kinda know that found a dinosaur bone but I wish that person would have been me. I would be suprised but kinda upset that I didn't find it on my continent because then I wouldn't know if I would be able to take it back to show the people from my continent.
My reaction to finding a species of dinosaur not thought to be on the continent I was investgating would be very alarming but informing. It would go to serve great importantce to further the research of palentology, but I would be alarmed as I was not expecting it.
I can't say that I completely understand your way of thinking as if I was to find dinosaur bones I would not be alarmed so much as I would be extremely excited. However I agree that i'd be excited for the future of plaeontology.
