Did you recieve a legal notice?

If you have used Facebook, there is a possibility that you received an email saying that you have been included from a lawsuit. The lawsuit is against Facebook and them using your name or profile pictures in ads without your permission. In December, Facebook and plaintiffs "agreed" on 20 million dollars. Those fees will either be given to each person, which are 125million people, for 16 cents each if they all claim it. Other wise according to what the article says it sounds like that money will be split into non-profit programs.

So what are your thoughts? Did any of you receive this email? I know I did. Do you trust the privacy settings on Facebook?

  • thats weird.. i never got an email so i guess im good! 16 cents aint bad tho

  • I recieved one of these emails but i thought it was a scam so i deleted it! haha I dont know what to think though cause what if they used your picture how would you know? And I literally dont think they can do this!!

  • I have facebook and i didn't get an email about this but its ridiculous! They should not be allowed to use anyones information or pictures without permission! If theyre giving out money to people for this it should be a lot more than 16 cents to each person!!

  • I have Facebook and i like it much but if it inst safe for us then we shouldn't use it. They shouldn't use our personal information for public ads, whoever is in charge of that should be fired and then get someone who will keep us safe.

  • I got that almost a month ago and I thought it was just a scam. Havent seen it since
