Recently the Big Ten has postponed the college football season. They hope to have there season in the spring, they are the first Power Five conference to cancel there season. #WeWantToPlay and #WeAreUnited are just 2 of many new hashtags that have surfaced because the season was canceled. Coaches of the big ten which include Ohio State's Ryan Day, Michigan's Jim Harbaugh, Penn State's James Franklin and Nebraska's Scott Frost have pleaded to the Big Ten Leaders, but there pleas haven't been enough to change there minds.
The Big Ten has announced that they are postponing the season due to "multiple factors" including the "medical advice and counsel". "The mental and physical health and welfare of our student-athletes has been at the center of every decision we have made regarding the ability to proceed forward," said by Kevin Warran the Big Ten commissioner. They also postponed the season due to "potential medical risks" for not only for the players, but for the fans aswell, since they're are hundreds of thousands of people that go to the games each season.
1. Do you think that the Big ten jumped the gun of canceling the season?
2. What do you think would happen if they didn't cancel?
3. Would it be better if they played in front of no fans? Why?

Overall, good job Sam. Your summary is good but I would like to see more of your voice within the summary. You commented well but only on two days instead of three. The big issue is your topic. While it is a great topic choice, it had already been done twice before. Be sure to check the forum before you select your topic next time.
I think they jumped the gun because they didn't really give it time to figure out how long this would last. I think that stadiums are large enough to where they could have people six feet apart. If they did no fans they would not play as well because there would be nobody to cheer for that team or teams.
I agree with with with what you said, they didn't give it enough time to figure out what to do I think they should have just waited a few games or so just to see. You're also right about the fans, but I feel if one person came and had Covid it would mess everything up.
I think they jumped the gun. I think they would have had a season if they truly put an effort into following the guidelines. If they didn't cancel, they could have chosen other options. Other options are having no fans, wearing masks, limiting people that can attend, and trying to stay 6 feet apart during games. I think not having fans could be an option, but it would have to be discussed.
I agree with what you said, they could've at least tried to have a season and follow all the rules even if it ment that there would be no fans present. I think that they shouldv'e waited a few games to see if it got better or worse.
if im going to be honest if they didnt cancel i think there would be alot of people getting sick even with the mask. I feel like they would take it off from time to time and those little things cause big things. But playing in front of no fans would have been way much better becasue games go on and not much of a big risk. Just have each player get tested and let the games go on.
It could go both ways I think, masks really don' tdo much if you're within 6 feet anyway and it would be a nightmare because trying to get tens of thousands of people to wear a mask and stay six feet apart would just be a mess.
I think the big ten jumped the gun and they should have at least tried to play before canceling. If they didn't cancel they would just do what all the other teams are doing that are playing right now. Playing in front of no fans would help stop the spread of covid but it wouldn't be very fun to play.
I agree with what you said they should have at least played a few games and analyzed the COVID data from there. I also agree with what you said about the fans it da good option but it takes some of the fun out of playing football.
I think they did jump the gun. I think the covid will soon end so I think they would be able to play there season. If they didn't cancel there season I think they would have gotten to play. If someone did get covid, then there season should be over or that person just dosen't play and wait till there over the virus. I think it would be okay if they played infrount of fans as long as there distanceing.
